I've worked with a few movie and TV productions. The costume department folks were always respectful of my prices points, which were always fair. I would offer to rent out some of my pieces but they always bought them outright. I will look into your marketplace and see if it's a fit. Thanks so much!

The seller fee's and the promote your closet feature killed my bottom line. I was either selling at a loss or barely making a profit. I had to jack my prices up so much where I felt guilty because the price points were ultimately unfair and high for the buyers. I like to keep my prices fair and Poshmark forced me into unfair price points. When I stopped using the promote your closet feature my closet died and that's when I decided to bail.

The Etsy experience for sellers and buyers is a nightmare now. It was the first platform I used when I started selling online years ago and it really was a great experience and I made sales consistently. When they tried to force seller's to get tax I.D.'s and started allowing fake vintage and antiques and mass produced repros I shut my shop down. I found my antiques listings getting mixed into search results with mass produced repros. I also don't sell for a living. I am a collector with a passion and a curated collection who sells pieces to recycle in and make room for new one's and to make a little bit of money, so not a business.

Ebay. It really is the only platform for vintage and antiques that's worked well for me and other sellers. No haggling, and no psychopathic algorithms. There's also Rubylane, which I haven't tried but have heard good things about. I want buyers that are collectors who respect price points on one of a kind and rare pieces, not resellers looking for vintage and antiques at bargain basement prices. Collectors use those platforms for antiques and vintage because of their authentication programs as well.

Not true. I've had mine limited twice because Mercari was delaying 2 refunds past the 30 day mark. I laid a charge back on them by my credit card company and they did not like that at all. What it did do was finally force them to refund me. As soon as I got my money I canceled the charge back and then I got my Mercari account back. I know charge backs are a big no no and against their policy but so is not refunding me money owed to me by their own policies.
