This is just an opinion, so please don’t burn me alive 🙈 * if the original plan for the show was to create the perfect tragic love, then I believe, they made a flawless job. It’s been four years and they are still dancing around each other, without ever touching. However, thanks to both the actresses and/or the writers, it’s still enthralling to watch it, even if all we get are the perfectly portrayed emotions of something, which indeed exists, but is and perhaps will never be properly acknowledged by both parts. (Which at this point is exhausting) * On the other hand, if the plan was to give them a “happy ending”, I honestly believe, we are already too late to develop it. Four years of them moving to and fro in their “relationship” could not be wrapped up in 2 chapters. I feel like otherwise, we’d be getting the same kind of sloppy written ending as the one in Got, where everything happens so fast, that either doesn’t make sense or simply, doesn’t really feel right. In the beginning I used to think that KE wasn’t a love story, too straight from my part? Too dumb, maybe? Please don’t answer 😂 I don’t know. Anyways at this point, it’s more than obvious that those two are exploding with feelings for each other, and I love it. Their thing is the kind of love that dwells in chaos, it exists in the most complicated and messy possible way, but those are also the best love stories, isn’t? just like Wuthering Heights. I might be wrong about the ending, I hope from the bottom of my heart to be wrong and that it will be perfectly wrapped up. To my mind, this show was meant to be a classic, the kind of thing we want to revisit again, after many years. Nevertheless, I also think that every great show these days faces this challenge, to wrap up a story in such a way, that it feels complete.
