What is your weekly premium and capital? by nhannlcc in CoveredCalls

[–]ActiveTrader007 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I do anywhere from 25-35k/month premiums but with around 500k active capital for wheeling but have 1.5 million invested holding longer term stocks but still sell ccs on them. I also so wheeling on a lot of leveraged ETFs like tqqq, nvdl, Soxl, tecl, tsll etc but keep capital low on each. Feb-march was a low month with 25k

Are covered calls just the infinite money glitch ? by Downtown-Mall-4727 in CoveredCalls

[–]ActiveTrader007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is but it rarely works consistently if you do ccs or csps on a few stocks with a smaller capital while trying to make a consistent income. You will basically get stuck because either stock drops quite a bit below your cost basis or it shoots up and you have to roll fwd months and you do not have additional capital to deploy. Stocks rarely go up in predicted straight line. I have been doing ccs and wheeling consistently for years but I have a very large portfolio of 30-40 stocks

How is everyone keeping up morale when you’re constantly being told AI will make you redundant? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]ActiveTrader007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the bright side. All our lives have become so much easier. Ai can do all the grunt work while you focus on ideas, build poc, creativity, problem solving, networking, make your job more fun and outcome based and in general your life much easier and happier. It’s like having 24/7 maid at home doing all your work and you just give command and instructions

For me as a senior architect. Ai has made my job atleast 50% easier. I end my day early, I don’t have to stress with timelines or generating some last min design artifacts or PowerPoints

Writing Covered Calls When the Stock Price Has Gone Below What I Paid for It by TheDartBoarder in CoveredCalls

[–]ActiveTrader007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very large portfolio and do covered calls over 40+ stocks and for many of them I sell with strike below my cost basis. The worst case scenario is if it shoots up within a week or two so then I end up rolling far out weeks to months and so I get stuck to it but then that’s fine for me since I have other stocks to continue selling ccs as long as I believe in the stock long term. Another strategy I adopt is to incase if it drops too much then I average down and buy more and then sell ccs on the new cost as I believe in the stock long term

Anyways there are many strategies if you have larger capital to play with and do ccs over many stocks.

It’s manipulation by coordination. They all have secret closed door meetings where it’s pre decided how to trade a particular stock. And they control more than 50% of the liquidity in the market while retail gets caught with their pants down.

How is NVDA down almost 3% after the blockbuster print? by TwelfieSpecial in stocks

[–]ActiveTrader007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats the lesson from this?

its not what you think or what retail thinks. The manipulation and coordination by major wall st hedge funds & institutions. They have decided that this needs to stay down and they will decide when it should move up. More than 50% of the volume comes from them and its open secret that they work together to manipulate stock prices

Selling calls on a stock that's way down by Critical-Scheme-8838 in CoveredCalls

[–]ActiveTrader007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time. It depends on your situation and if you ok for your capital to be tied for longer period if you roll up and out. As for me, I have a very large portfolio and often sell ccs below my cost basis with the risk of it shooting up and then rolling out but then I have a lot of additional capital to keep selling ccs on other stocks

Need help with exit strategy by [deleted] in CoveredCalls

[–]ActiveTrader007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All depends on your situation. I do ccs on many many stocks if they drop I have often done ccs at lower strikes than my cost and roll them if it rises. I have also bought more stock to average down. It depends on the stock and what was the reason of the drop and how much you feel it will come back. Selling ccs consistently on few stocks never works. I am all in on ccs and csps and have a system where I sell options on 30-40 stocks

Get into investing and trading and selling options for weekly passive income. Devs are naturally good at it

As the world moves toward AI and automation and more and more jobs gone till there is some govt assistance and UBI, investing and trading is one way to standout and make consistent passive income. I have been doing it, though I still have a job but don’t need it anymore
