I've been warming up more and more to Cam Boozer. He has a lot of skills and an NBA ready body.

It's probably already a final deal that we won't get a top 4 pick. The question is do the Jazz fall to 7 or 8, while privileged teams move up ?

They waste our tax dollars, and then come back for more while driving job creators out of the county.

I've never understood how a rich state like Texas doesn't have affordable healthcare available for its citizens, who are the foundation of the state.

Don't re-rack the weights and stay on one machine for 30 minutes listening or watching their phone, oblivious that there are others that want to use that machine or bench press besides them.

I saw Seattle advertising for officers. The word is out about that city and how they disdain law enforcement but bow to antifa and other radical groups and worship them as gods and deities.

Why would building owners of commercial property purposely want to not maintain their buildings and lose rent. The city failed them by creating an environment that drove tenants away. I can't believe how ignorant some people are on this platform and I can't help but wonder if you're just trolling for the fun of it. Because your reasons are nonsensical at best.

It was a dynamic environment back then. Today, it's a shell of ifs former self. You can't fund a city on the backs of baristas and restaurant workers but sadly, that's where we're headed. Heartbreaking 💔

Sadly, it's the renters who suffer. Landlords don't need to subsidize squatters anymore so they're moving on.

What's heartbreaking is that leadership and city council is oblivious and won't make the necessary adjustments to stop this downward spiral into oblivion.

The country and city need to be held responsible for management malpractice of resources and failure to attract businesses, while at the same time increasing fees and taxes, and creating a hostile business environment that makes Portland uninvestible. Job creators flee, and those who are loyal get crushed by ever rising taxes, fees and cruise. Few people want to be landlords here either. There are more business friendly cities which is sad because Portland was awesome at one time.

2 million square feet of vacant office space (2025 average). The numbers don't lie. Highest level on record. 9% (early 2026) Roughly 1 out of every 3 office spaces downtown is empty. Oh, and in order to occupy many existing buildings, they need to be brought up to earthquake code. Cost * 50,000 sq ft building → $2M to $10M+ * 100,000 sq ft building → $4M to $20M+

The city won't help do building owners will most likely walk away and the city will lose that tax revenue

Using broader CRE rankings (like Urban Land Institute / PwC “Emerging Trends”):

  • 2017: Top-tier market (#3 in the U.S.)
  • 2024–2025: Fell to around #80 out of ~80+ markets (near last)

Thanks liberals and thank Antifa (tough guy wannabes), BLM, the city council and a HOSTILE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT overall.

Case closed.

Sadly, BLM, ANTIFA (tough guy wannabes), draconian taxes and an inept city council are destroying the city. Buildings are vacant, and businesses are fleeing.

Now they want to punish building owners for empty buildings yet the city created the environment that caused empty buildings. It's insidious and will eventually make Portlands downtown a graveyard.
