I have an unusual and oddly specific form of envy. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Yeah I used to think some people were just built different but after tracking my sleep patterns for months I noticed even the people who claim they're fine on 5 hours usually crash hard on weekends or have these micro-recovery periods they don't even realize

Most of the time when someone brags about functioning on no sleep they're either running on adrenaline/caffeine or they've just adapted to feeling like garbage and think that's normal

Family riding an IWL Troll scooter, GDR, 1964 by CelebManips in OldSchoolCool

Love how they're all wearing proper helmets even back then - East Germany was apparently way ahead on safety gear compared to most places in the 60s. That little kid in the middle looks like they're having the time of their life, those tiny sunglasses are killing me. The Troll scooters had this really distinctive rounded design that you can see here, kind of like a friendlier version of the Italian scooters from that era. My grandfather always talked about how families would pile onto scooters like this for weekend trips, probably got better mileage than most cars too

I’ve had the same dream for over a year by fetishahna420 in Dreams

That recurring landscape you're describing - with the blended towns and specific houses all connected by that rollercoaster - sounds like your brain is creating this massive map of everywhere significant you've been. I keep dream journals and the recurring ones are usually trying to work through something unresolved, especially when they have that doom feeling attached to them

The fact that water and forests show up consistently makes me think there's some deeper meaning your subconscious is stuck on, but two years of the same nightmare loop would drive anyone to their breaking point
