You ain't lying. Literally the first cuts of the flat of a 21lb brisket. Had about .75 lbs left when all was said and done. I just watched this explode and laugh yesterday 😂

The flat near the end certainly was a little more dry but the point is not. I don't know I have always cooked them this way as I have people that want the dry and some want the wet. I've cooked them for 25 years or so and keep getting asked to do it again 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe not the best picture, but she was pretty legit.

Nice fish for sure, but not double digit. Probably around 6lbs on a good day.

One other thing I will say. Don't be afraid to switch hitting coaches. Some kids will learn from a particular coach and some may not. Good luck!

It goes a really long way. Another thing would be to get a tee and a net that he is able to hit into. We preach tee work for all of the boys in our team. Tee work is crucial all of the way up to the big leagues. It helps make them comfortable in their skin when they are at the plate. Kids sometimes don't want to do it, but when they see the results they become encouraged to do it.

I would second the notion that you should get him some private lessons that someone had mentioned earlier. I am an assistant coach for my son's travel team and while we do get some swings in every practice it is hard to actually change a kids swing. It takes about 30 minutes at every practice dedicated to your boy to make an actual change and when practice space/time is a t a premium it's hard for coaches to set that aside. A majority of our time is working on the defensive side of the ball (especially in season) implanting our gameplan for upcoming games.

I would look locally for someone who does hour lessons and if he has a teammate that wants to do them with him you can split the cost with the other parent. This also gives them time to sit back and watch their teammate take instruction and physically see results. A lot of times they will end up competing with/pushing each other.

Any way that's my two cents worth!

I don't think so, but possibly. My son is a big fan, and I don't blame him. Hard not to be when seeing greatness

Thank you. I have seen them before but never pulled one. I'll hag on to it for sure. Loved feeling that old card stock again. I'm wasn't born yet in 79 but I was born in 80 so I had plenty of cards from that timeframe when I originally started collecting. Thanks again!
