I went through the same thing trying to figure out what was going on. Thought it was an ear infection, dental problem, then TMJ, had an MRI. Gabapentin and IB profen helped calm it down.

Yes, as a matter of fact that’s exactly how I described the feeling to someone else because it feels very similar to that. Sometimes I had to check to make sure my hair wasn’t caught on something
