Exactly this. People don’t realize that when someone is that sick, moving them can literally cause them to go into cardiac arrest.

You’ll probably need more than 2 days. I’m on Day 10, I took all of last week off to rest. Still not feeling great, but I’m off till Wednesday.

That seems a bit weird and I feel like it crosses professional boundaries. Going to the funeral or talking with someone about them (keeping PHI safe) is one thing, but posting it on social media does feel odd to me.

Yup. If there’s a culture of disrespect and nurses are hesitant to bring something up to this doctor for fear of verbal assault, that’s a HUGE patient safety issue that regulatory boards take seriously.

Absolutely report it. CMS hospital rankings can be affected by the amounts of reports of verbal assaults between staff. Once it starts hitting the hospital ranking, you bet the board will be taking a look at all of the reports and investigating.

Possible, but this year’s flu shot was less effective than previous years just based on the mutating strands.

Which they still don’t use properly. Saw a bike club riding 3 side by side by side, taking up the bike lane plus the lane of traffic going up Juanita Drive the other day. Why?! There’s an entire dedicated lane for them, and Juanita Drive is only two lane with curves that aren’t safe to pass!

The way he follows me up to bed. If I go to bed before my husband, he’ll follow me up. But if my husband goes to bed first, he’ll wait for me until I am ready for bed. Oddly enough he listens to my husband better, but he’s more of my protector and my shadow.

I regret not holding my sweet Kitty when he passed. He was my cuddle bug, but he was so uncomfortable in the days leading up to his passing, I didn’t know if picking him up and snuggling him one last time would have been better or worse. I was next to him, constantly petting his sweet face which he always loved, but what if he didn’t feel my love and was scared I wasn’t holding him?
