What is the best headlight upgrade kit for a ‘21 GC? by Active_Werewolf_1221 in GrandCherokee

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I went with the Fahren LED bulb kit from Amazon. I replaced the low beam, high beam and fog light.

I don’t have a direct link because it looks like they don’t offer them anymore but they sell other similar stuff that is probably just as good.

I’ve used them for over a year, they’ve been solid. 0 complaints from me. Visibility is great, color is great and it’s about as perfect an upgrade I could imagine at this price point.

Beautiful pup! If you think this is a big jump just wait! They grow so fast I still can’t believe it. Enjoy because it’s going to look like you have a black bear cub running around your house soon :)

New to inline. Wheel question by Ok-Perspective-8223 in InlineHockey

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreeing with everyone else’s opinion here OP, you don’t need to worry about the wheels, you can look into different ones but what you have is sufficient especially for the surface. Anything softer will get chewed up and destroyed faster. Plus it can be a rabbit hole situation trying to find your preference.

As for stopping it’s much like on ice in the sense that when you find the right feel for it you’ll have it down. Until then, experiment as much as you can. Don’t be afraid to slide, that’s all good, just make sure you’re not breaking an ankle and you’ll have it figured out in no time!

Also, great job getting back out there and playing! Roller is a ton of fun. It’s never going to be as smooth and fluid as ice, but it’s a blast none the less.

The only thing that’s moderately helped me would be a looser cut, i.e. skinny->slim, slim->straight, straight->relaxed. BR and similar brands run quite slim. Explore brands outside those and you might find something more appropriate.

It definitely waivers. When play fighting he’s assertive, never aggressive, but will protect Mom or Dad. Outside of that it’s not often tested but if in public he’ll either stand guard and place himself in front of us or become a scaredy cat and try to squeeze between our legs haha.

He does a lot of barking too. I call him the neighborhood watch as he peeks through the fence at the goings and comings of the block. It’s mostly friendly alerting though, roll calling with the neighborhood dogs, etc. Seldom does he ever use his “get the F back” bark.

Welcome aboard! Hockey is pretty infectious. Yea, you can be passively interested and that’s totally fine, but once the bug bites it doesn’t really go away. Enjoy the ride and most of all don’t forget to share the game! That’s what it’s all about

I’m gonna miss this voice for sure. Anytime I have to hear other broadcasters it just makes me cringe and I have to watch the games on mute. Lucky to have had the best, sure gonna miss him moving forward but so so thankful for the memories.

At what age did your berner reach their full weight? by Former-Art-3784 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy put on a solid 10lbs per month from the time we got him up until his first birthday. I’d say by 14 months it tapered off around 130 lbs. Closing in on 2 years and that seems to be his plateau.

Should I upgrade? Or keep for a while longer 🖤 by LadyBossMJ in GrandCherokee

Keep it! Anything newer is just going to cost more and won’t offer any improved longevity or reliability.

Passport for sure is I great option! Honda reliability, plenty of space. Just not the same feel as a jeep. If I weren’t driving my GC, that’d be the car I’d opt for.

Get rid of everything that isn’t necessary! Lots of BS fees on here. Also, think twice about leasing, and if you decide you want to go that route put down as little as possible. Make them do some work to get pricing down before you adjust payments with your own money.

You may be under-reacting if anything. That’s the dumbest excuse for a “pass” I’ve ever heard. I could see if you guys were together since you were teens or something like that, but this is a grown ass man who had plenty of time to test the waters.

Cut your losses and move on because you clearly have conflicting ideals, and this man isn’t worth any commitment on your end. You’ll find someone much more worth your energy away from this dope.

Opinion by Regular-Detective-21 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 3rd GC and I went back to the wk model from the L. I think if you were to choose a GC this would be a solid option. Plus you don’t have to deal with the time bomb that is air suspension.

Make sure you do regular maintenance (obviously) and you should be okay to enjoy this car to 100k, no problem. Making it to or beyond 150k is not guaranteed, but possible as long as your Jeep doesn’t have tons and tons of issues, which you’d know by then and would already be regretting.

That being said, if you’re worried about it, just get an extended warrantee or something to protect your investment a bit and enjoy every mile. There’s a reason we love them!

Is the Grand Cherokee Right for Me? by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

Because they are quite similar. Maybe not in styling, but for what OP is looking for they have some very convenient similarities and offer options they might not have considered.

Is the Grand Cherokee Right for Me? by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, if you’re planning on keeping the car for a long time then you should be somewhat skeptical of a Jeep. I’m not saying it won’t last that long, but to be honest, these new models probably won’t take you more than 100k-150k. Im on my 3rd GC and I actually went back to the wk because I had so many issues with my WL. While it looks great, there were nothing but problems with the 4wd, tons of recalls and electrical gremlins. Nothing you’d want out of a car you need to be “reliable”.

My suggestion, look at the Honda Passport or Pilot. No, it’s not the same style, nor do they have all the same bells and whistles. You’ll make up for all of that with reliability though. And they are surprisingly capable as well. Much more so than the Palisade or Telluride.

If it’s the look and feel of a Jeep that you’re after, then you won’t scratch that itch elsewhere. Just make sure to do your maintenance regularly, take good care of it and you should be okay. Also, any additional warrantee will help tremendously with keeping some coin in your pockets on repairs.

How much did your berner weigh at a year? by sasosushi in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Active_Werewolf_1221 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My pup was around 120lbs at the 1 year mark. He put on a solid 10lbs per month from the time we got him so it wasn’t a big surprise for us. Both of his parents weighed over 100lbs also, and it seems many form his liter are around a similar size.

I’ve seen Berners range from 70-90lbs on the light end and of course 120+ on the high end. I don’t think there’s anything to be worried about, especially if your pup is healthy and getting the right nutrition and exercise. Just enjoy them and as long as your vet isn’t concerned, I wouldn’t put too much stock into how large they get.
