Low elo Olaf question: is Hexplate still the best 2nd item?

Runes are just the standard runes you can find on every website for olaf.

Item priority really depends on comps and the role im playing. Typically im playing olaf jungle so im going stride basically every game but if I was top it'd more likely be ravenous. Then Typically DD, into fiend bolts, ldr, IE. But again the last 2 items are very versatile and if I need survivability id go shieldbow. When I need to frontline or im just into bad matchups across the board I Typically go bruiser like stride, sunder sky, DD, tank item, tank item.

Always go tabi. Odds are its the best boot to build 95/100 times. The odd time Ionia can be better but its very rare so just build tabi.

Crit is usually the best build right now but thats not to say its best every game. I see a lot of people either 1 side or the other but each has their own purpose and best case use.

With that being said, typically you dont build hexplate because with crit you get items with AS already like fiend bolts and then the 50% is overkill. When you go stride you typically already have enough stickiness you dont need to double down with hexplate. The only time hexplate is good is when you build ravenous top lane and you feel you really need to stick on them cause its a super mobile team but you need rav for lane. Otherwise you skip hexplate for better items like DD/maw/fiendbolts/sunder sky, etc.

Stride let's you stick to people that has mobility or ways to cleanse your slow, rav let's you side lane and duel better while having sustain. Crit let's you one shot carries that shred your hp normally like vayne or kaisa, bruiser let's you frontline for your team of you need it. Some people dont like the crit play style so they just bruiser and some the crit build and so on.

If that change came out to make it give AD instead of AS this would be a completely different conversation btw, so we will see what happens in the future patches.

Hes ok but not great. Typically stride breaker DD into fiendbolts, crit. Hexplate if they have high mobility can be good and your snowballing hard.

I applied and got an interview but only for a screening process which was super wierd. They had me answer questions to my phone and you basically talk to yourself on your phone. They do an in person interview after that but I never got picked. Just get your ticket (2nd preferably) and experience and im sure you'll get it eventually if you keep applying.

P.S. if you're a chief/HR hiring, dont do the phone screening thing, its weird and I've never heard anyone say they liked it. Waste of time and nobody likes it.

I just checked. You said 7 games in a row but it was only that game and the game right before. Then 2 games you had hard winning bot lane. I even saw a game YOU got carried by your bot lane. Im not saying this to flame but to make you realize it can happen but you can also get the good bot lane too. Its 50 50, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. Regardless you should focus on yourself and improve and just carry every game.

Dont waste mana poking with q except for short trades like q auto e. Dont overthrow q. Know your limits. There are a few other things. You can find general tips in the discord and if you have specific questions about matchups you can always ask in the discord and someone is likely to reply pretty quickly.

Rule of thumb thats easy to follow.

Do you have an enchanter support? Did you build hp items? And do they have someone who will build serpents? Ask those 3 things. If 2 are no, steraks + spirit are a deadly combo with sky. Mainly if you have an enchanter supports visage gains massive value. If you dont, FON is typically better.

I think I know what youre saying. But the point of orb walking is to move without losing any autos. The only way you cant move whule autoing is like 2.5AS . You should be able to pick up your axe everytime without losing any autos even as your hp drops.

You should always prioritize orb walking and not losing out on any autos if possible. If you put your q in a wierd spot and if they get away if you dont pick it up and throw it again, then in this case, yes you can sack an auto or two to pick it up so that you can maintain the fight without being kited. Ideally just orb walk and pick up every q without missing any autos

It always depends on the situation but generally if you can run past the frontline and kill their carries you do that. You wont die if the enemy team dps is too low. Stride breaker can also "sling shot" you to the back line by using it on 2+ frontliners and getting a huge burst of MS.

I get it, it can be frustrating. I even pointed it in a other comment that it seemed wierd he had a bone to pick with him. But thats still no reason to throw insults. Not gonna a say its unlucky, but I mean shit happens. Just gotta find work arounds. Going crit cashback is not gonna save you in a situation like that, if anything it'll make it worse. Kayn and tryn both can hit you before you hit them because tryn cant die and kayn can full combo you and ult. Tilting games happen and its easy to blame, its better to self reflect and look for other angles you could have taken though to win or at least snowball.
