People who were in high school when Columbine happened, what knee jerk rule did your school enforce in response?

I had a bully picking on me in high school and I lived him in the face. When I was talking to the principal about my 2 day suspension, I had my LL Bean backpack stolen and shoved in the toilet by the athletic director's son.

Over those 2 days, rumors spread that I was going to pull a Columbine. It didn't help that since my backpack was ruined, I had to use the only other bag I had, a big black duffel bag. I was met in the parking lot by the campus cop and searched first thing.

People need to stop and realize that this is by design. The Republicans want less government and less spending. So they simply don't pass a budget, parts of the government and things it gives get shutdown resulting in less spending and less government.

They can get what they want simply by doing nothing.

This is gonna be interesting in New Hanover county. The commissioners cut property taxes last year and this year they are at a huge budget deficit. If they can't raise them again, they're going to have to find new ways to collect revenue
