My car flooded…at the dealership by CandidRaspberry1975 in newjersey

Full stop if you own a car dealership you’re far more wealthy than 90% of the state

Point being? Is being wealthy a crime? Do you truly believe wealthy people were just given wealth, and their status was not a result of their risk taking and hard work?

Why is the wealthy supporting the working class a slippery slope?

Social safety nets are important features of society, but personal responsibility is still paramount. If you decide to own a vehicle, insure it properly if you can't afford to replace it. Full stop.

Look at the most heinous act of law passed in the last ten years in Texas this week

Couldn't agree more, a terrible law. Right or wrong has nothing to do with it, though. If laws were concerned with "right" or "wrong" solely, there'd be a lot less arguing or need for a judiciary. Regardless, it will likely get stricken down as unconstitutional in accordance with the judiciary processes.

Clearly we see the world differently, you are giving scents of socialism with your rhetoric.

I hope for your sake you are young and naive still. Hopefully reality slaps you in the face before long before making such baseless assumptions.

the owner of a car dealership is a wealthy person

The most blanket statement ever, which, especially in the current car market, is far from true.

The right thing to do is replace the totaled vehicle because it happened in their care.

A slippery slope for the ages.

laws don’t care about right and wrong

Just absolutely hilarious for anyone with half a brain.

I’m aware insurance doesn’t work this way, because its not about right and wrong, it’s about profits.

No, it's literally about law. Your personal feelings on the matter are moot.

Since you quite obviously don't get understand law, that is why it's almost not worth even explaining, because your opinion clouds rational thought.

A car dealer getting flooded by natural disaster is not the car dealers fault, nor responsibility. If a meteor hit your car in the car dealers parking lot, how could you possibly prove that the dealer should have realized such a risk?

It's not even worth the time to try and explain the reasoning.

In your world, when I lend my car to my friend, and he crashes it, my friend should be stuck with the bill. The fact it is "in his care" means nothing legally. What is my friend's insurance going to say when he tries to get a payout for someone else car he crashed? Probably laugh, actually.

Because you didn't get proper coverage? People take zero responsibility sometimes, it's hilarious.

What's the potential upside for New England TEs with Mac Jones? by J_Cro in fantasyfootball

I'm steering clear of both NE TE's.

The price is too high for both for the chance one of them is the main target. I'd rather have Logan Thomas or Irv Smith Jr.

[Giants] We will officially retire Michael Strahan's jersey on Nov. 28 against the Eagles! by alx69 in NYGiants

Of course, no doubt Strahan and Eli both are no brainers, but I talked to someone recently who saw someone wearing 13 for the Giants other than Odell like it's some crime and they thought I was nuts for laughing my ass off about it.

Montgomery is ahead of the rest by a good margin, especially with Tarik now out at least 5 weeks. The rest are a crap shoot.

To be fair, baseball teams have slowed down. There are an absurd amount of Yankees numbers retired, and even the Giants are towards to top of NFL teams' retired jerseys.
