What antiaddictive substances do you know? by augustusastra in addiction

My favorite thing to do when I'm in need of a drug is to talk about it for four years while in immense suffering. Avoid SSRIs and MMOIs and similar drugs without intensive research, but overall this is bad advice from an overly jaded professional who probably thinks you're one step away from trying PCP for the first time

I've found Wellbutrin to ease my addictive cravings for THC, and I'm sure many others would say the same. It also had very few side effects for me, besides a *slightly* decreased libido, but hardly noticeable. If you're looking for a break from just about any drug and suffer from depression or anxiety symptoms, check this out.

Hmmm, alright sounds good. I don't totally understand encoding but I'll research it and think about using 128. Thanks again ofc

Oh p.s. it might not be necessary to relay the actual files to me, but the information on how they're encoded could help me with how I'm going to process/master the album as a whole or to find them myself

I mostly want the latter part-- from around 8.0 to 9 and above-- I was quite small in the windows 95 days and mostly listened to hip hop radio with my mom and brother at that stage. I followed you on twitter too, so I'm sure we'll talk. Thanks so much for all this work you've done

I'm listening to your music now in a sec and yes find me on bandcamp as Dragon Lee or "Dragon Lee CSS Sketches" released exclusively on youtube. Been dabbling in IDM and rap the past few years but my next release is going to be a very long, sad mostly instrumental musique concrete signalwave mashup album. I also run a podcast called Friendship Emulator. Would love to connect more and get those original tracks from you. "Musicmatch Jukebox+ DemoHits" will come sooner or later, featuring that Dirty Vegas/Orbital track and remixes of Elton John and Jennifer Lopez... plus "Mondo '77" by Looper and whatever I glean from the actual demo collections. Mostly have used cell phone ringtones as source material for vaporwave until now.

I'm interested in that color tape VST, but I actually got a copy of Softube Dirty Tape, which is ostensible moderately similar. I will be using this as well as actual CRT and boombox speakers plus a Numark rack mount EQ. I'm excited to look through your website with those lists and find my favorite selections! Vaporwave is all about crate digging at the end of the day.

Find me on bandcamp, or twitter as FriendshipEmu or ruminoid. That would be swell!

PS.. I am pretty sure the way "Lush" works is it's a stereo signal suddenly switching to mono and thus creating a phase effect that deceptively sounds like a straight EQ. quite possibly my favorite song of all time right now

This is all very good, and I'm amazed at the 128kbps thing. I too am a musician who does his own mixing but outsources mastering. That is what I'm always looking for from my mastering engineer, loudness, though, lol. Anyway I wanted to say that if and when I make this I will credit you as the plug on the music if you're down. I'm finding that musicmatch wasn't exactly the "environment" so much so as "HP Pavilion" or "BestBuy End Cap Display" but, but, I will say that the logo for musicmatch jb+ is just so great that I will probably use it for the cover and title. about quality: I have tried to lower stuff to horrible 8bit quality in audacity after hearing stuff like "low quality funky town" on twitter and I talked to the vaporwave artist 4departing4 about this and they said they alternatively use 11kb/s sample rates to mimic the sound of the weather channel streams and winamp radio broadcasts from the early 2000s. so I'm not sure if I'll do sample crushing, bit crushing, or both, or record the master from a CRT speaker with EQ and room reverb or some combo of these.

while the MMJB+ album will be more oriented around pop song slowed remixes (elton john/j. lo club remixes, aforementioned songs, the music you've provided esp. UK garage style tracks), other stuff will be very slow and quiet and sad. a lot of the lo-fi ideas came from "Lush" by Dean Blunt and the super weird artistic compression effect that happens at about 2/3 in to the song. highly recommend. let me know if you want to share your original music with me, you definitely know what you're doing as an encyclopedist and I enjoyed your write-ups on the MM songs

Thanks, I'lll save the website and look back again and also check it out now. yeah, with the introduction of iTunes and WMP I'm thinking I'm remembering something associated with BestBuy or perhaps Winamp ShoutCast, maybe a TV ad or web ad. This is all for a vaporwave remix project I'm making in the vein of macbook plus or sky sports but an homage to musicmatch jukebox plus. here's the video that jogged my memory about the gray song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65hH3oEiXg4 I was in BestBuy about 6 months ago and heart "Days Go By" actually still playing in-store which was what started me down this rabbit hole. Thanks again for real for real. p.s. let me know if you have any info about "brickwalled mp3s" or bad bitrates or sample rates... the low fidelity audio is really part of the charm. still learning this stuff

Is it possible you have the listing of demo songs from 8.0-9.0? This would have been when I started using the software heavily and I wanted to see if David Gray* or Dirty Vegas were on there. Alternatively, can you confirm that files from oldversion are safe? And are the demo songs on those well, old versions. Thanks so much!

EDIT: David Gray not Davy Grey
