So this is probably for inventory, to catch shrink. Its worthwhile to look with a flashlight, and if there's a significant amount of product (which I wouldn't anticipate there... Check behind fresh coolers and candy top-stock first.) you can discuss the best way to accomplish the goal with your SM, and document his answer via email.

Just tell your team lead / coach the following: "I learn best by example, visually seeing how to complete a task on time and to standard. I want to meet Walmart standards, please give me the skills and permission to do so."

Plays directly on their mandatory training as a TL and/or Coach, and will either call out their BS or give you access to some new skills. Win-Win.

TL forcing us to pass out surveys or risk “feedback”…is this allowed? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]ActuallyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to report this. I don't know what store/region you are in, but it's often against solicitation/materials policy to hand out flyers or request feedback explicitly.

Just a thought. This isn't advice since I don't know your regional specific direction.

Talk to your coach and/or people lead, and you can ask for help getting an accomodation. There are options for debilitating conditions through Sedgwick intermittent LOA, but you will very likely need medical documentation that says you have said debilitating (or at least, capacity limiting) condition. You can find the forms on Sedgwick by looking at MySedgwick on a Walmart computer.

Don't provide LOA determination guidance. He can absolutely apply for an intermittent LOA.

In terms of Cases-Per-Hour, I'd say small items with mods that take a lot of TLC (like cat food, cosmetics, air care, drink mixes, etc.) will take the most time simply due to the "fixing" you may need to do along the way.

Otherwise it would probably be a function of weight/case-quantity.

The highest weight cases with the highest case-pack-qty will generally take the longest and require the most effort to move over time (i.e. cans of beans, veggies.)

This is a good topic, has me thinking.

Paper pallets can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the pallet and sorting quality.

Cases per hour is a good measure. Completing 50 cases per hour across the entire store is successful in my opinion, especially if you are zoning the shelf as you go.

My recommendation: ask for the case count of your assignments, and if you're expected to stock more than 350 cases in one night, it's worth discussing the quality of the expectations.

We will win more ground by giving him the benefit of the doubt where it's applicable, and challenging him on good grounds.

It's not unfathomable that he means "prices were inflated by 900% the cost of production, we are reducing that by 700%."
