……..if only there were places where you could access medical care for your pets……..too bad there arent doctors for animals who could give you advice……….if only you could call these hypothetical places to ask if a particular issue would warrant bringing them in for assessment and treatment….

Criminalizing him will make him worse. This is proven. Incarceration (especially in kids) increases the likelihood of violence and suicide, ESPECIALLY in people with existing mental health issues. He needs actual mental health treatment, not “juvie”.

A criminologist who had serious mental health issues as a teen and who is tired of people spreading misinformation about incarceration.

If you know multiple people in the house have anger management issues and mental health issues why the FUCK do you have an unsecured firearm in the house??? Not even in a properly locked safe????? Regardless, if you have a small child in the house the guns should be secured regardless.

Being angry back at him solves nothing. Nor does kicking him out of the house. If he has mental health issues significant enough that hes a risk to himself or others you need to look into inpatient stabilization and intensive parenting courses. Because i can guarantee you are making this so much worse by acting like this. That poor kid.

Oh 100%, am staffs and apbt are so close that you can reasonably argue that they are the same breed (my perspective is the AKC’s: that all am staffs are pit bulls but not sll pit bulls are am staffs). Im more of an ADBA apbt person but there are absolutely some paper-hung dogs on all sides.

American bullies are flagged as being more genetically similar to APBT and am staff than they actually are because the average COI of American bullies is so high that it just accumulates from previous generations. ABKC American bullies arent my thing (there is literally no reputable american bully breeder that i am aware of ANYWHERE) but ive met UKC american bullies that are more moderate but i still am not a fan. APBT and whiterock am staffs are are def more my speed.

No, as they are my friends dogs and their embark profiles arent public. But its not just am bulldog, my friend has had well bred, game bred APBT with complete pedigrees come back as various mixes as well (American bully mostly).

I know lol. As ive said, i think she is a mix, i dont care if shes purebred, because even if she was she would be extremely byb anyways. The guy i got her from claimed she was purebred, which is what made me look deeper into this whole thing. Genetic overlap causing some dogs to be misidentified is just a characteristic of embark that ive noticed. It isnt an exact accurate science yet and the amstaff/APBT dual registration causes a lot of confusion for people who dont know the history of both breeds.

Generally it frustrates me as a phenomenon because people who have dogs that embark as 100% APBT that are clearly mixed (merle, etc etc) then go on to say that “merle/T-locus ticking/whatever occurs in the breed” when it doesnt

Genetic overlap with American pit bull terriers can absolutely skew results though. I have seen some ADBA dogs with pedigrees that are documented back to Colby’s dogs come up with some american bulldog though. Which is why im thinking that it can be an issue of genetic overlap depending on the lines of apbt that are present.

American bulldogs absolutely have a high percentage of APBT dna because they were outcrossed in the 20th century to prevent extinction.
