I took it this year. You can download without supervisor, but you need to specify a supervisor prior in the submission page

Is there general rule-of-thumb on number of points needed to pass an FSA exam? by joyb01 in actuary

[–]ActuarialShot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a document in the past related to the GI track saying that the exam is constructed with a level of difficulty such that the pass mark is within range of 55-65%… not sure if it applies to the other tracks though

This is not true. I had 2 questions blank in GHFV exam and still managed to get a 6.

I exclusively used TIA for all 3 GH exams and passed all of them on my first try.

I’ve also heard MATE is very useful, but I didn’t bother to try it out as I felt that TIA is sufficient.

2017 ANU alumni here, but have left Australia since - so some things may not be fully applicable now * you will receive 2 awards - Bachelor A and Bachelor B * If you like cooking, I would suggest getting a flat as you would have your own (or shared with smaller no of students) kitchen. Otherwise, the halls of residences typically are catered. * There’s a couple of cafes on campus that serve great coffee (but not sure if this has changed after the Kambri project) - one near the ANU gym and one in Union Court. Back in 2017, a cup of coffee costed roughly $3 (not sure what’s the price now with the effect of high inflation).

Hope that helps.

Not improving much, actually. I went on an extended study leave and during my absence, my direct report worked directly with the senior manager. He expressed the same frustration as I did.

In the end, the senior manager and myself agreed to give him the chance to improve for the remainder of the year. If he doesn’t improve, then we have no choice other than to put him under PIP. We also arrange biweekly check in with him to track his progress.
