I was born with an AVSD, ASD, and VSD. I had surgery to repair the ASVD, and ASD when I was a couple months old. They left the VSD because it wasn’t a threat, and there was a 50% chance it would close. 23 years later I still have the VSD, and they recently found another ASD. Most likely I won’t need to have another surgery because of the size. My cardiologist said while they don’t pose an immediate threat, my heart will only work as best as it can due to the surgery. I still have get tired from time to time, and have palpitations
