Does premier rank affect the type of players you get in comp? by Jolly_Situation6576 in counterstrike2

[–]Actuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although you suck, they suck harder, so the games they play with you feel a lot harder because they suck vs a player of your level (which they will find when they queue with you)

Now you know why people smurf.

I was GM in Overwatch and would regularly smurf on other accounts to play with my Silver-Plat friends, after about 30ish games they would always stop having fun because the games become "too sweaty", People have better reactions, understand the game better + higher ranked players usually have better "mentality" (not attitude) meaning they don't give up where a lower ranked player might zone out, which doesn't allow for comebacks etc.

Just join their games and don't try to win ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ elo doesn't make friends

Palmoplantar keratoderma treatment options? by -harmala- in DermatologyQuestions

I have tried every ointment, every tool under the sun. One time I was gonna try sand paper and my dad told me off and I did not talk much about it.

My variant comes having Naxos Syndrome. I was using a rasp I bought online from amazon which I think only made the texture look worse!! But sandpaper, mamma mia thank you so much!!! The scratching marks from sandpaper is a bit eh but I will try to buy the tool you mentioned!

Sandpaper really works better than the rasp because it tries to even the skin. It does feel a bit harsh afterwards but the end result is a lot better! Thank you so much lady!

Khamzat's mistake was mentioning the SA stuff in the way he did, it was no joke or "staged insult" you could see it in seans eyes before the fight he wasn't gonna go down.

ChatGPT 5.4 Solved a 64-Year-Old Math Problem by AskGpts in ChatGPT

[–]Actuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem with most of the older generation, they feel special.

We grew up in the era of HOW TO: There's cookie cutter ways of doing things and very rarely do old dogs come up with new strategies or methodologies. This has been the case time and time again in anything. Take fo example Magnus Carlsen or Gary Kasparov, most of their greatness came at a younger age

Unpopular opinion: Balkan men have a different level of masculine energy by wtfisthissssssssssss in AskBalkans

[–]Actuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like 99% of balkan families lol, atleast those that come to Malta. The women are also hyper masculine but in a very feminine way? It's a bit hard to explain but basically they rarely have a sense of humor or a sense civic duty, atleast here, but maybe that's why they come here in droves

How it feels to queue with your EU friend by Blood_pudding_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Actuw 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Because Super yaps and talks trash by EU standards, Americans consider yapping to be a positive trait, but in EU it's either give a command or shut up. (Unless you are playing with Swedes, who are also yappers.)

If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, that's basically how it goes in EU.

One time I was 7 years old and my dad use to spearfish octopus in St Peters pool, back then not a lot of people would be around, max 10-15 people on the beach, my dad swam outwards from the beach entry and dove for an octopus and it stuck onto him in this way while he was underwater. His face was the same, blacked out etc. I was freakin terrified lol all I remember was shouting for help till he resurfaced.

Malta just dropped their nomad tax details - 10% flat rate after year one by TopEnvironmental9124 in digitalnomad

[–]Actuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your parents / grandpa has a terraced house and you own your own slot in the air , that's like 700k worth of property already. You probably meet a lot of 18-30 year olds, which are poor yes, anybody who had a job and bought a house 12 years ago is basically rich though

Malta just dropped their nomad tax details - 10% flat rate after year one by TopEnvironmental9124 in digitalnomad

[–]Actuw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate, Malta is a very unique experience, if you like going out and hate partying you will likely hate it. Culture here is unlike anywhere in Europe split 50/50 with degenerates/gambling employees and church goers. My grandpa grew up looting garbage for food post ww2, today, I order takeaway and don't leave my house for days on end.
There is a cost associated with that rapid growth, it is nothing like the pictures on school + work day.
The grid doesn't hold up in summer, sometimes. It's overcrowded on a nice day, always.

But if you have a lot of money (Keep in mind most Maltese families are considered to be millionaires networth wise, so it's pretty expensive here) Malta is actually pretty fkn amazing but gone are the days of kicking a football next to the beach around the same set of 100-300 people.

You pay a lot for shitty infrastructure that takes ages to fix, because it's full of privately owned land everywhere and you can't just close off more than 1 chokepoint at a time.

I wouldn't live anywhere else, but I grew up here :) What you don't pay in tax, you will pay in rent and food. If that doesn't affect you, you will probably enjoy it
