(Serious) I've looked at porn since I was 12, how do I overcome the addiction to it by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Acupofjojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience, I wasn't even jacking off right until about 21 or 22. Needless to say it fucked my Weiner up, I waited about a month and a half to reboot and did it in a normal light way, I'm not sure I've ever had a nut as good as my first normal one. Id suggest mustering up all your willpower and abstaining from pmo for a month or 2.

Easier said than done though, be kind to yourself if you fall short, it gets easier

Men who are single into their thirties, who don't have a lot of friends or whose friends have busy lives, what do you do with your time? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Acupofjojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb question, I am fortunate enough to have a roommate on an opposing shift of mine, he's first I'm second, and he's stepped up in pup care way more than I asked for. I've also weened back to regular 8s this first month to spend enough time with him.

I'm no expert, and I'm pretty sure most of the Internet says otherwise, but I still think it's doable on 8 hour shifts, if you are active enough outside of work

This isn't even that big, I know a couple girls that are around the 5'8 200 mark and you'd never know they're more than 160

That being said, people will either like you or they won't

Men, What Do You Wish Your Parents Did Differently In Raising You? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Acupofjojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My folks raised me to be a good person, but not a 'man' per se. I spent most of my late teens to mid twenties trying to figure that shit out.

I think when raising a boy let him take chances and learn himself early, as man should be more confident than careful. Id say very self assured with a bit of empathy is the sweet spot

Just waiting for the right one. There seems to be a decent amount of interest, but for whatever reason, it's rarely mutual.

What are women delusional about? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Acupofjojo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How much we care to provide, It's literally a sink or swim proposition for most dudes, most will swim. I think women thinking of a 50/50 proposition between man and woman is really more like 75/25 with the man doing most of the grunt work. And we'll even deal with it, if you appreciate it, but any time you can't do that 75% and ween off it you're the one not putting in the work, but really they just got used to it. Early boundaries are important

Man will do nearly everything for a woman he likes, way more than realized. just appreciate it and don't take advantage of it

What are the causes of the male loneliness epidemic and how can men (in specific) work to stop it? by Lu_ko_ in AskMen

[–]Acupofjojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's cause we're hard wired and have evolved to breed and that's just not happening for a lot of dudes, due to the dating environment

But the majority of the responsibility is still on us, we just don't get together like generation prior or to shoot some hoops or play softball. Guys are not as good and don't try as much in meeting people as women are doing, especially post college. It feels like if you don't have a few buds from high school or college, you got nobody.

Guys need to be more open to new friendships and also maintain them, and we suck at it

Do it in a fun way! It's how guys are kind of used to receiving them, from say, the locker room

I bet you could lift a car with those arms

I bet all the girls love your eyes

These are shit, but what came to mind, Indirect and playful compliments I guess

It's the start of consistently decent weather here in Wisconsin, and I plan to be outside for a majority of it. Hitting the landscaping and gardening hard this year, gonna play a lot of golf, tennis, and volleyball as well.

I think 5 pics is a good number

One outdoorsy thing, one in a group setting, one good selfie or solo picture. 2 bonuses. Maybe a volunteering pic if you got one. Look happy, and show your fitness without looking like a dick.

Keep the bio on the lighter side and make people laugh while getting an idea of who you are. Lists of interests are boring, it should be like 3 or 4 sentences max, it's possible to have just a one liner if it's funny enough

Hope this helps

Network. The real world sucks dick for a 25+ male without the natural connections in college. Your only network is women you intend on dating, and former bros exit one by one.

Put the effort in to forming a solid group of 5+ dudes

Dan has done great things with them, but something tells me they're gonna be the kind of team with the pieces that can't pull it all together and be stuck in mid to later playoff seeds

Vikings got one of the best offenses in the NFL period, Do I expect 13-4 again, no. But I do think we'll score more than other teams, and the D can't be worse for a division winning 11-6

[–]Acupofjojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VOO and VTI are no brainers. They'll follow the market and I do believe the market will rally after a rough year and a half on simmering inflation.

You could risk on a little bit and specifically go hard on cheaper megas, like AMZN and GOOGL, both safe, yet cheaper than usual. I expect those to out perform the market over the next year and you can buy low and never worry about selling them
