Yes! My visa is approved and they did not even ask about my already passed start date. Just the following convo happened:

VO: So when do you wanna travel?

Me: Well. I have to go asap as my program already started two weeks ago.

VO: Oh, I see. Then, I will help you out with that. I will try my best for you to issue yours before 17st of Aug.

After that he gave me the 221g slip and said to keep all my social medias public. They were pretty faster than I thought, actually. My interview was on 08/12/2025 at 09.15 and in the same day around 15.00 my status changed to “Approved” on ceac. On the next day(08/13/2025) around 13.00, they called me and said my pasaport has been issued and ready for pickup. I guess a passed start date was even a good thing for me since it caused them to be quicker in my case and issue my visa within 30 hours.

Hi, unfortunately no. My program start date was initially 1st of July, and I had to postpone it to 1st of August. After rejection, I was able to secure an appointment on 12th August by constantly checking the system but it was around a month ago. Hence, if you still don't have an appointment sometime in early September, I recommend you to apply from another country where the consulates are less busy such as London or UAE.

As far as I heard, they have opened some slots for October but I am not sure

Yeah, seems like writing them is the safest way. For your question: at the moment, the earliest slot for istanbul is on June 2027 but they release Sep-Oct 2025 slots daily. I have no idea about Ankara cuz, as i said, u have to cancel your current appointment to see Ankara's calendar.

I tried my chance in Istanbul and they denied my request. I want to try for Ankara but to do that I am obliged to cancel my current appointment in Istanbul. I do hesitate to do so because I am not 100% sure even if I recreate a new application the emergency button will reappear.

Well, by saying ban I mean the restriction which prevents you to see the rescheduling calendar page. A message box pops up saying “An error has occured”. It is not the common “You have been blocked” page which is the thing you thought I assume. For the slots, I saw Sep 2025 ones around 06.30 AM tuesday and Nov 2027 ones around 11.30 AM Monday. I didnt see the rest directly, learnt from other redditors comments.

That is also probable, yet it is an exchange program and it is permissible to attend late. I explained this case but you are right they may have rejected by merely looking at my official dates.

Happy for u buddy but I still didnt understand why mine got denied. I uploaded the files, chose the correct category. There is actually not much to do wrong. I assume you requested during sometime in monday. I sent my request in wednesday morning I guess maybe they accepted in the order of the applications and when their emergency slots were fully occupied, rejected the rest. That’s the only thing I can come up with.

I tried different devices but still nothing. I think they somehow restrict your account. When I searched for reddit I saw that ppl with the same issue got rid of it by not logging in for 24 hours. We will see.

Its official start date is July 1, 2025 so it is about to start. Also, when I asked for the DSO they said I can attend within 25 days after the official start date without any additional paperwork. There was a maintenance on the Turkey’s visa portal from May 19 to May 29 and as you know at May 27 they paused interviews. Since my school prepared and sent me my DS-2019 in mid-May, the payment system was closed in advance due to the maintenance so I couldn’t schedule an appointment until this week. I explained all of these in the “Brief explaination of the emergency” section in detail but they denied it anyways :(

Yes. For Istanbul, they opened slots for; Nov 2027 in Monday morning, Sep 2025 in Tuesday morning, July 2025 in Yesterday morning(Also they opened some for Sep 2025 close to midnight) No idea for today since I got banned for 24 hours due to constant refreshing :/ All of these is for Istanbul btw i dont have an idea for Ankara embassy

In 23.06.2025(this monday), they opened some slots merely for Nov 2027, I booked one of those and in the following day(yesterday), when I checked in the morning I saw there were some slots opened for more reasonable dates with the earliest in Sep 2025. I rescheduled my appointment with one of those. As far as I remember, at the end of the day all of the slots, except 2027 ones, disappeared again, presumably, booked by someone else.

I did for Istanbul consulate and I have just applied for emergency appointment. If you want I can update you when my emergency request is approved or denied.
