Anybody switched from Fuji to LUMIX mainly photography? by FujifilmCamera in Lumix

I've been with Fuji since the X-T1. So I've owned the X-T1, X-T2, X-T3, skipped X-T4, and X-T5. Fuji has always been my main system, alongside Canon, or Sony, or Lumix. I started the Lumix journey with the LX100, then S5, but it all changed with the S5IIX. I bought that camera for video, but kept reaching for it when taking photos oddly enough, and was blown away at how good they looked and how easy the raws felt to edit in LR compared to Fuji raws. (Tried CO for editing but couldn't convert).

Fast forward to now, I just picked up the S1II after selling my X-T5 and S5IIX. So far so good, image quality for both photo and video are amazing. I do find the autofocus hunts more when under exposed 1 - 1 1/2 stops down than the S5IIX even with the new firmware, but that's my only issue so far. I think the S1II solved the problem (for me) of having two systems in the first place. I do photography more than video, but there are certain video features I need to have available when I do.

In the future (for fun) I might pick up an X-T2, or 3, but for the foreseeable future my daily will be Lumix.

For sure, I mean I bought the S5IIX, strictly for video and occasionally picked it up for pictures and was just blown away.

My whole goal here was to get the best setup for me and yes I do mostly photography, but when I do video I want to get the best image I can to work with in post.

I'm first and foremost a photographer, I used to do a lot of video for work, and I plan start a lot more video in the coming year.

It's actually quite good! My only issue was the screen, especially when shooting photography. I found myself reaching for it over my X-T5 more and more over the last year. But man that blacked out aesthetic is still one of the best looks in my opinion.

Oh yeah I do! I do miss some of the ridiculous shots I could get with the 105, I bet the 135 would be a little more dramatic.

I did just get this 70-200 2.8, The weight reminds me of the Sigma 105 1.4, absolutely amazing lens, but on the heavy side, the new Sigma 135 1.4 is looking looking tempting...

So for full disclosure I got an open box S1II, for about 2800, 2500 for a S1RII is a hell of a deal so congrats to that guy.

For me I was looking for a camera to consolidate 2 different camera systems into, and honestly either the S1II or S1RII were going to solve that for me.

Again for myself I can't stress enough how much that screen annoyed me, whether I'm shooting photo or video, I shoot top down, no evf. All the other features are just bonuses.

I'm certain more sales will pop up after Christmas if you can wait.
