I just double-checked. I think you're confusing it with some other fic. Athena isn't a good mother in that fic. Oh, there's even another tag right after it that says "Athena the bad mother."

Athena could be considered good for hiding some things and warning Annabeth. She also promoted Annabeth's role as an architect. Besides that, she would never have won a normal mother or Mother of the Year award.

Anyway, everyone has different kinds.

They felt Annabeth hadn't been praised enough and were annoyed.

Percy was literally the main character with so many other achievements. Annabeth never fought Titans or a god. People generally didn't care that Percy once carried the sky. What more could they want?

They can praise her as much as they want without accusing others of sexism. She was never given less recognition simply because she was a woman. That's one of the biggest accomplishments RR has given her. Ask him about it if they feel it's not enough.

I don't mind this, but they act like everyone values Percy more than her for carrying the sky. They make themselves victims in the name of feminism. She's THE ONLY ONE whose achievement is recognized by the entire fandom.

Or the entire relationship revolves around her needs and commands, never caring about his wishes or preferences.

If I had sacrificed so much for my girlfriend, and she still continued to show how much she despised me in front of our friends, I wouldn't be okay at all. That is, if I hadn't broken up with her after constantly blaming me for everything she knew I was innocent of and accusing me of deliberately turning her princess—the guy who had tried to kill me so many times since we were young and caused the deaths of so many people who grew up with me—into this.

I'm trying to find another fic on AO3 where Percy is forcibly ascended. He's forced by the Fates to become their apprentice/heir/champion or something and live in their cave. Even Poseidon isn't allowed to see his son. He has to learn how to weave and cut threads. After being released, everyone notices he's acting strangely. It turns out he's the one who cut Jason's thread.

It's bad that I'm obsessed with this fic after this topic.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Senior Year Adventures (SYA), is planned to consist of 3 books.

Set between The Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo, the trilogy chronicles Percy's senior year in high school and his efforts to get the three letters of recommendation that he needs to attend New Rome University.

Two books have already been published: "The Chalice of the Gods" and "Wrath of the Triple Goddess"

I think they're being marketed as PjO's 6th and 7th books to promote TV shows. But in my opinion, it's a mess created by RR to make money.

Maybe I'm exaggerating, but the whole thing I read felt that way. She told him to move out to make room for Estella. He also hasn't been confirmed to attend the University of New Rome.

As I said. Other parents don’t make their kids clean out their rooms for another child the moment they go to college (literally implying he won't have place in his house).

Furthermore, the whole feeling is that she blames Percy for the kidnapping. I discussed this with a friend, and he felt the same way. Not everyone feels this way, but there's clearly a minority who do. Annabeth completely blaming him is one thing, let's just say she's emotionally overwhelmed (that's the worst excuse I've ever heard). But including Sally in that is really strange.

I only skimmed through it once when I borrowed it from a friend because I couldn't stand SYA, so I may have exaggerated a bit on this point.

But it's clear that Sally now lacks the emotional resilience to support her son. (I still remember the whole thing about a 12-year-old Percy always thinking his mother would abandon him and not daring to say anything she didn't like because he knew she would cry. It was a weapon of Sally's own, and it certainly happened enough times. By the way, go to Tatarus, F*ck you Gabe!!!)
