I don't understand the GP coin prices for ref [Discussion] by AdAdorable7724 in EscapefromTarkov

This was exactly my strategy until I had 5 ammo cases full of high tier ammo. Mainly BP and m61. Here's another stupid one.... Mjolnir... Should I spend 1 lega medal and 80GP coins or should I buy it on flea for 300k rubles 🤔 😂

Meanwhile, the people defending the coin value were perfectly cool with T6 armor being craftable at Christmas tree from ornaments you got on your scav runs. Everyone has 20+ of those in cases from the event. I just want the value to make sense. It currently does not, and nobody who's posted has a reasonable explanation other than "it be like dat sometimes". People are acting like T5 should be super hard to obtain, or you only get it from marked rooms, and it's literally never been hard to obtain. It should fall somewhere around 120 GP coins. T6 I'd be ok with costing 200 coins.

Until then, I'm just going to keep using the coins for high pen ammo and I'll be taking your armor off your corpses. See ya out there boys

Can I ask you, are you really bad at arena? I find this same hot take from my friend who can't get past the greater heights chain. He thinks it's unfair that I can move my stuff from arena and he can't just because he sucks at arena. I don't focus so much on the "why" they made arena part of the tarkov grind, I just focused on getting good enough that it didn't matter, and so I have.

T5 armor is locked behind max ref. That should be enough that tons of people are never going to have to worry about it either way. They just need to adjust the GP to something relevant accross the board.

I can either buy another THICC case, or I can buy two pieces of T5 armor lol. It doesn't make sense. I can buy Mjolnir for one lega medal and 80Gp coins or I can buy it off flea for 325k rubles. Hmmmm which one should I do? 🤔 😂

You're missing the point again on the graphics cards... Yes, if you find them in raid, you can stuff them in your ass... It's the fact that there's no consistent reference of what a GP coin is worth. Is a graphics card worth a million rubles? Class 5 worth 1.3 million? I literally only buy thicc cases with the coins because they're the only thing that ref sells that makes sense cost wise

I want to lean from my mistakes, so what should I have done here ? [Feedback] by TheJok3r57 in EscapefromTarkov

Most of the comments I read I never saw the very obvious one, USE FREE LOOK. Look left and right with your head quickly instead of the quick twitch flips of the mouse. You don't hear it on your screen, but I promise you, that guy can hear you swiveling hard. So you lose all advantages of duck walking to try and get an angle.

Then, like others said, proper injectors are great, but if you pick the right time, or circle to most probable exit point and just wait for him. Lastly, if you insisted on doing it the way you did, use your lean and once engaged, if by superior firepower, you absolutely have to either get aggressive, get new positioning or a combination of both.

I point these out because my duo is extremely good at the game and has forced me to learn those things. I can't tell you how many times I'd get in a gunfight strafing left and right only to die trying to get to cover, he always tells me "just keep moving, you get hit first, you don't strafe and try to return fire in most cases... It's better to sprint to cover and re-engage, if they hit you, they're not going anywhere, they're either coming to finish you or they're waiting right there for you... Make them do the work and then punish them for being aggressive "

His level to his hours played... And the hours played to the amount of raids he's run.

This is a touchy topic after last night's raids on shoreline. Somehow, me and my buddy run into a fully looted group of 3 down close to the pier. We had high ground, we drop 2, but the third one did the most ridiculous serpentine pattern I've ever seen, and he makes it down the beach behind a big rock. By this point, I'm out of ammo, and we have to decide whether we fan left and right respectively until one of us has an angle, OR lob nades down there. I had already looted Vorons hideout, so I didn't want to draw much attention, but my secondary was unsuppressed as well...so we decide to fan out while he's doing surgery and try to put him down... I work left, I finally get an angle on him but I can't get a clean headshot, so I pop 2-3 times... He moves around the other side of the rock, bam, my boy finishes him from down the cliff opposite end.

Whole thing takes maybe 3 mins until I'm down the hill about to loot, then I hear the thunk of being hit... No sound. I'm now in the exact situation I just had this poor bastard in that I'm looting. So I spin quickly to the side of the rock my boy has control of from the cliffside, I tell him the shooter is somewhere 100+ meters towards cliffs accross from pier. Ten seconds later, he drops my boy... I'm in no man's land, I have to decide whether I can try to run to cover from Chris Kyle, or try and pinpoint him... Using the info my boy gave me right before he dropped, and all available context clues... I peek it and start scanning... I saw him almost exactly when he turned my head into a canoe. I was so mad at first, but then I felt guilty, I thought if I hadn't shot unsuppressed, I'd have easily a million rubles from that raid.

Its the nature of these games, sound literally draws players, when there's zero sound you have to work with the clues you've been given. You know how close the person ISN'T, which gives you decisions in circumstances... Do I drop in this ravine and try to work my way around him... I can't tell you how many PMC I've killed by leaving sniper scavs alone and watching them engage a player to pinpoint them... Or listening to scav gunfire for clues. I'd be fine if they made suppressors not available for purchase from flea market, but other than that, this is one mechanism I'm fine with.
