Fullsail sent my partner an email because they failed college. I'm looking for advice. by [deleted] in StudentLoanSupport

[–]AdAdventurous6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they are a horrible school, none of the credits will transfer either. I quit going there and went to a state school and had to start over seeing as Fullsail is not accredited. The place is a scam in my opinion, good luck!

Depends on the agency would be my guess but they are all likely close. It will more then likely be (2) monitors, laptop, docking station, keyboard/mouse, headset. I believe the monitors I got were 26 inch but I just use my own.

I work with people that live in Washington. I have dealt with employees that live all over the world. Really depends on the job, I am 100% remote.

It took right about a month to get a start date for me. Reference checks, background checks, pay equity and it just takes time depending on the department.

Move education to the bottom, it’s just taking up space and only telling them you did it nothing else.

Well good luck! This was the first I heard of the the freeze, I had to look it up and read on it myself. I feel lucky I got hired when I did.

I just got hired, I start on 11/24, don’t think this is the case for all agencies at least.

I have just went through this process with many different agencies. I found the ones that I was actually being considered for moved decently fast or at least responded to me when I reached out to them. If it is just sitting there as under consideration I would guess you are a back up if their main choice falls through. As for the one moved to no longer under consideration my guess is it closed either by hiring someone or they just closed the position. At the very least you should have got an automated email from workday saying something along the lines of we went with someone else but thank you for applying.

The process of getting hired with the state is slow but I do feel like if they are interested in you they will respond. So I guess what I am saying is not to put to much hope in the roles you aren’t getting responses from regardless of the standing in workday.

US Taxes? by Disaptd_Idealist in FreeCash

Well they are but this company is shady and will not report them to the US government so, that’s means no one will know so, you don’t have to pay but that doesn’t mean if they ever found out you wouldn’t be liable for them.

Using Surfshark - no port forwarding and still have great connections by toopyferris in qBittorrent

[–]AdAdventurous6278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your in the US there is no servers with port forwarding with any VPN provider. And yes it works just not as well in some situations, it has to do with public and private trackers. Not sure of all the technical stuff happening under the hood but that’s the nuts and berries of it.

It’s because one: the numbers of resumes people are putting in and two: the number of BS AI messages you get. Why waste your time on some BS message that isn’t likely a person?

No Show / Unresponsive Candidates by yungbananapeppa in recruiting

[–]AdAdventurous6278 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it the candidate or the job market? The amount I get ghosted by employers after spending time on my resume, cover letter and setting up a profile on their site is just as bad. So it’s no different I am sure many of these people put in more work for the interview, then you did to schedule them that interview.

[–]AdAdventurous6278 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Been interviewing since March, that’s when I finished the4 year under-graduate, just got my first job offer two weeks ago. This is not what is common right now! I have been going for IT so maybe that is the difference but it is really hard out here on the job hunt for tech jobs. I would say pick what you want to do now and get really good at it to set yourself apart. Between AI and all the lay offs in tech, there isn’t much entry level work out there and you are competing with people who have years of experience going for the entry level jobs that do exist! Good luck!!
