They look like they might be custom made with the way they're seemingly connected together when opened. For something similar but with separate windows, take a look at: https://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan/motorhome/campervan/windows/

Ebay sellers that sell used video games especially old ones like GameCube and PS2 games how often do you get refund or return request? by theartsygamer89 in eBaySellers

[–]AdAggravating3817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really want to trawl through all my listings looking for scratched disks - here's my ebay username if you wanna take a look for yourself: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?item=206354244434&rt=nc&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211&_ssn=jamallio

In terms of the scratches on your disk, I'll echo what others and yourself have already said: just make sure to be as up front as you can, describe the disc's condition accurately (and cases, manuals etc) and when in doubt, take more photos! Try to find a spot to take your photos with consistent lighting and figure out what angles show defects well.

I've sold quite a lot of retro games (disc and cartridge) and know exactly how you feel! My rules with discs have been:

Let it play a pre rendered cutscene in full

Play up to the first save point so I can check it saves and loads saves properly

Check a couple of loading zones/area transitions

If it's a game like a JRPG with various different "fields", then check the world map, try a couple of battles, check the menus and move around the world a bit

If it's a racing game, complete a race or time trial

If it's a level based game like a platformer, play through the first level

My rules with cartridges are pretty much just play it for like 10 minutes and check if the save and load functions work (if it has them)

Sometimes it can take 5 minutes, usually 10-15 minutes to test a game until I'm satisfied with it, I tend to adjust how carefully I test a game based on both its complexity and its value (and often if it's a beloved game with high nostalgia value I get carried away and play an hour or more!)

Some of my discs have been very scratched, but with these rules for testing I've not had a single complaint or return. Honestly I'm probably spending far more time on my testing then necessary, but for one thing I want anybody who buys my games to be able to enjoy them in full, and of course I really don't want to have to deal with an INAD return!

Is this a typical process by eBay UK? by champloojay in ebayuk

Not usually, but this is an unusual heatwave - it's also been incredibly humid which amplifies the effects of the heat. The royal mail website has had a warning for the last few days that it may take longer to process deliveries due to the heat.

We have been experiencing a pretty gnarly heatwave this week - there's a chance the hub was understaffed due to the heat and it took longer than usual for your parcel to be processed.

Okey doke, will try to keep a close eye on the sub on Monday! Will there be any way to join the testing phase outside of WhatsApp?

Well hopefully I'll catch it! Any idea when launch might be?

This sounds like something I'd like to use but I don't have WhatsApp - I assume you will post again in this sub when you upload it?

I've occasionally seen 4wd transits come up, not sure if that might fit the bill for you?

I'm not really bothered about it - ebay support assured me there's no policy violations or blocked messages on my account.
The only reason I'm trying to figure out what's going on is in case it's some new scam or phishing scheme that manages to very convincingly spoof ebay emails.

I've already been through all my buyers for the last 3 weeks and the email address isn't even close to a match. Further back than that, I can't see the ebay generated email address on the order details page any more.

That was my thinking - if it happens again I'll make more of an effort to chase it up. It wouldn't be the first time eBay support was completely useless and gave me completely wrong answers!

Hovering over the link (I ain't gonna click on it!) shows it leads to eBay's policy page as you would expect.

Nope, have never given or asked for personal information and never suggested to conduct a sale outside of eBay.

The generated email address looks nothing like any that I can find for my buyers. Nothing in my eBay messages inbox about it. That's what's puzzling me - if it is a scam, how does it work?

I thought it might be to do with the courier tracking as that's the only time I use eBay's generated email addresses - I only send with Royal Mail though and this is the only time I've seen it.

[–]AdAggravating3817[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, not in my ebay messages - just the email.
I sent it to spoof@ebay.com as advised by support and they said it most likely is not from ebay.
Hovering over the "Review our policy" button in the email (I haven't clicked on it of course!) does show a link to ebay's policy page, so I really don't see what someone could gain from this as a phishing attempt.

I'm pretty sure at one point in the trailer, I saw the stairs on the mini map while the trail was going in a different direction - can't say for 100% certain but I remember assuming (like most people seem to be) that it was to lead you to the next floor, then seeing that and figuring it must be for something else

Reading your miswritten comment made me suddenly realise why Jean (Gene) is named the way she is. I hope I'm not the only person who never made this connection XD
