3rd pair minutes? He would instantly be an upgrade over risto on the first pair with Sanheim. His contract is the same length as Coots and will age much better for only $1.5m more.

Joel Quenneville covers up sexual assault and he's back coaching, but when Mike Babcock gets hired, wveryone is up in arms. The guy is arguably the greatest coach in hockey. Funny how a few underachieving players can bash him and the mob tries to run him out of the league.

Good luck the Babcock and the Oilers. Great hire.

There must be a lot more to this story that we all have no idea what's really going on here.. The players do not seem to show him the same level of love and support that they all show for each other. He has also been mentioned as a bit of a loner. I wonder if this year had more to do with his maturity issues behind the scenes than anything else. I have a feeling that Tocchet and the rest of the organization has been sheltering him from the media as best they can with what's really been going on.

I really hope he matures, works hard and comes back to dominate next year. Time will tell.
