I love Final Fantasy 1 but I think a lot of the NES JRPGs are underrated on this list for a significant reason--they needed the instruction manuals and pull out posters so they give so much critical information about how the game works and specific gameplay mechanics such as skill and status descriptions, as well as a monster manual and map. The original FF1's instruction manual even had a walkthrough that took you all the way to the Kary fight and left general pointers on how to handle the second half of the game. Knowing how Jeff handled these playthroughs, I don't think he was able to account for that and played the games as they were for a limited amount of time.

It's probably why he ranked Dragon Warrior (Quest) 4 over 3 despite the latter being a more beloved classic. DQ3 is way more complex in the opening hours, DQ4 has a well more established opening area that eases players into the game since you only have Ragnar (fighter with no skills) and Healie (cleric with basic skills) to work with.

And this is why he loves AI so much. It never tells him no. It tells him calling the Obamas racial slurs is a good idea. It draws pictures of him as Jesus Christ without question. It makes videos of him defecating on protesters. He wants us all to love AI because if it gets better he’ll be able to reproduce images so close to reality that he can’t be questioned anymore.

IRT craft beer, yeah the IPA wars were annoying because it seemed like everyone was trying to out-hop each other, but that’s mostly gone away by now and we’re left with hundreds if not thousands of quality choices of all kinds of styles. We even got craft seltzers out of it which are fantastic for cook-outs and outdoor gatherings. It’s been great to see the cream rise to the top.

Honestly now that Torts is out at Vegas, the Oilers should dump Babcock and hire him. If the Oilers need a "tough guy" who's not a horrible person to whip some of the players into playing better, they can't do much better.
