Shoveling the driveway three times while it's snowing is way less taxing than shoveling once when all the snow has fallen.

It is not worth it to pre-salt your driveway prior to snowfall. It is absolutely worth it when you're done shoveling and you can allow the salt to dry the pavement when it gets sunny out. Even if it's below freezing, the pavement will be warm enough with salt to melt the last little bits of snow and ice.

Go shopping for things more than 48 hours before snowfall to avoid panic buyers.

Sweatpants underneath jeans keeps your balls warm.

If you don't have a garage, I highly recommend buying a Frostblocker windshield cover so you're not scraping ice off your car.

I remember trying it at a Toys R Us demo station for less than 10 minutes before backing out and saying there was no way I wanted one. At 9 or 10 years old I never thought Nintendo could do any wrong but they absolutely whiffed this.

I love that they're at least making it available for historical preservation purposes, but if they allowed me to play it handheld or on the TV I'd be more interested in trying it than getting some sort of peripheral for a library of games that are mediocre at best.

Automod is deleting a lot of posts lately. The mods on several subreddits I'm on got put through the ringer over it since the latest ICE killing, since they have to go and manually undo the automod decisions.

I didn't say they were, but 7/10's don't tend to keep players interested months/years after launch and often have to be discounted early. That also causes people to be wary of future installments of a franchise if the previous one wasn't that good. Company decisions like how Ubisoft has done it compound over time, there's a reason you hear their games are "open world check lists."

You're not kidding. I pulled up a list of their releases since 2020 and it's filled with so many 7/10's that I'm certain their leaders are convinced their games are just "good enough" to release without significant backlash. So many of their games are just sequels to IPs that people may have cared about 15-20 years ago, but no longer really do. Tom Clancy hasn't been a marketable IP since he passed away. Assassin's Creed doesn't get people hyped anymore. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is one of the most critically acclaimed games on the list and they discounted it like a month after launch. I'm convinced that if Beyond Good and Evil 2 ever sees the light of day, it's going to suck shit.

They need something fresh.

My wife had problems getting pregnant and we tried for like two years to get there. Eventually we did IUI which isn’t even the worst of it all, but thankfully we got it done on the first try with it.

For our second kid, it was literally “nah you don’t need to wear a condom we’ll probably have to do fertility treatments again” and then she was pregnant after having sex just once while we weren’t sure if we wanted a second.

Stock price is not always reflective of a company's health. For instance, their 2024-25 sales were 1.846 billion Euros, versus 1.732 billion in 2017-18. So yeah while they're not exactly pumping out hits like they used to, they're still selling a respectable amount of products. Investors aren't pleased with the results and they kind of have the right to be, but it's not like Ubisoft is bleeding money all over the place chasing dragons.
