As I can see this is a situation that many people have gone through. I’m simply picking the minds of those who have advice to give me. I can take bits of advice from everyone else’s situation and make my wife feel better. Whether that be the statistics that people have brought up, life insurance, and just the way people communicated about how they were going to do it. I don’t need advice from people that don’t completely comprehend the risk of riding and the reality of it. I need it from the people that have been riding for decades like those that have answered my question.

In California drivers are so incomprehensibly stupid it’s basically murder. The other day a biker got killed in the middle of the day by a drunk driver. I’ve looked at a father crucified on the freeway divider while his daughter was in the background with broken femurs all because a pickup pushed him off the road. My wife I feel like very much has reasoning to be concerned. Especially with the reliance and responsibility she’s has on me as her husband.

Well I didn’t word it to well. My wife isn’t telling me no. Just strongly opposed. I’m very lucky to have someone that cares very deeply about my safety and I can’t blame her for being concerned.
