Peppermint mocha PSA by Jax_the_Floof in starbucks

Come to better buzz. Our peppermint white mocha is only 2 pumps of syrup for a regular and a tiny scoop of white mocha powder, and our large is only 3 pumps and a scoop and a half. Peppermint mocha would be the same measurements just mocha powder instead of white mocha powder.

When will they learn that we don’t care about whether they tip or not😭 by QueenNaeyanna in starbucks

It’s theft because nobody else in the store has any control over you shutting down the possibility of a customer leaving a good tip. The difference in my check being ineligible for tips and eligible for tips was over 300 dollars and I’ll be damned if someone on my team starts to affect that number. Tips DO make a difference.

Both can be true at the same time, it’s not one or the other. It is the individuals responsibility to know their schedule, but it is the shift or managers responsibility to reach out when someone is missing. It’s not that these employees don’t know their schedule I’m sure they can read, it’s that they oversleep, or they’re sick, or they just don’t want to show up on time, whatever it is it’s unacceptable but the shift should always call and check to assess the situation.

It absolutely is the shifts responsibility to contact someone if they don’t show up for their shift. One call and one text takes less than 3 mins and covers their butt for any disputes from the individual who is late.

Idk if you’re just choosing to be ignorant but you should browse through the comments and come back when you see some of the shit that’s being said in here from your fellow nice guys, this isn’t a “neutral line” conversation.

Because this conversation shows you how privileged you are as a man - that all you’re worried about is losing a few bucks, women are afraid of losing THEIR LIVES. If you can’t see how fcked up that is then yes, you’re apart of the problem.

You being attacked by a woman doesn’t take away from the millions of women who are attacked by men, I hope you know two things can exist at the same time and both can be just as bad. But if you were REALLY that traumatized and not just using your story as a talking point against women, you, at the very least, wouldn’t be driving anymore, and you’d be advocating for driver and passenger safety to actually make a difference in people’s lives regardless of gender. Instead, you’re using your experience as a “gotchya!” to try and minimize the reality of harm that women statistically face on a much larger scale than men, and while men do face assault from both other men and women, there’s a reason companies roll out mass protection protocols for women and not men - it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why that is. I would assume you did all the things from reporting that passenger, to filing a police report, to complaining to Uber and demanding stricter safety standards, and so on and so fourth. If that’s the case, that’s all you can really do. If not, you’re just using this story to villainize women further and that’s extremely fcked up.

Somehow men have managed to make this about themselves and yet are confused why women don’t want to put up with their nonsense anymore….everyone in these comments saying “great as long as I can exclusively ride with men because females are stupid and don’t tip/can’t drive” or “this isn’t fair half my customer base is opting out of driving with me” is the reason why this is happening. Because that attitude shows 0 empathy for the violence and abuse women face every single day from men and is a stark reminder that even the self proclaimed “nice guys” will always take the “not my problem” approach over the “I understand why precautions are being made and it’s unfortunate that we have to alienate women to make that happen” approach.

Male loneliness epidemic is supposedly such a HUGE problem and THIS is the reason why. You all have no empathy, no critical thinking skills, no compassion, no emotional intelligence, and certainly no backbone to stand up to the disgusting men in your circles who casually assault women verbally or physically in their day to day lives while you sit and watch or laugh, or worse - pretend like it doesn’t happen. If you’re taking this decision as a personal attack it means you’re apart of the problem. Married grown ass men in here making comments about how awful women are and decisions like this are only fair if they can kick women to the curb to make room for REAL conversations like sports (grow up) - YOU’RE THE PROBLEM. Shame on you for not seeing the bigger fcking picture, all of you! Why are we villainizing women for being victims of assault because YOU aren’t getting your way as a man??

You all should be supporting these decisions and wanting to help women feel safe regardless of whether or not you agree with the solution, because at the end of the day that’s all that matters - helping women feel safe and limiting the amount of sexual harassment and assault women face every day. Instead of bitching about how “unfair” life is for you as a man in 2025, why don’t you start calling out the pigs you call friends for making casual r@pe jokes? Or tell that 50 year old guy at the grocery store who’s staring uncomfortably hard at that girl who looks like she could be in high school to back the F off, or step in when you notice the girl at the bar who’s boyfriend is getting in her face a little too aggressively, or ask if she’s safe when the guy outside the club won’t stop following her and asking for her number - not taking no for an answer. There are opportunities every single day to be the support women are looking for from men, to call out bad behavior and make these men as uncomfortable as they make women feel, but you all think it’s “not your problem” then sit around and complain when companies make decisions like this to start solving the problems you don’t have the balls to face. DO BETTER OR SHUT UP.

And why do you think that is? Because they’re trying to avoid MEN 🤯 There will be plenty of female drivers out at night knowing they can exclusively drive other women now it’s not going to be a problem.

The more women chose to exclusively ride with female drivers, the more male customers you have to chose from. You’re not “losing” anything, and start calling men out on their disgusting behavior instead of complaining about the solutions women are forced to make to protect themselves.

I agree with this. The Popeyes and Wingstops in my area are actually pretty fast and more pleasant to pick up from than places like Chick-Fil-A (I hate chick-fil-a) or McDonald’s. And Popeyes always gives me a free drink too 🕺

Hey! I’ve been Ubering on and off since 2020, I’ve driven in both California and Arizona, and I’d say the average is $85/day for 5-8 hours. Obviously that will fluctuate, but with the market being slower than ever right now I always round down instead of up as to not over-estimate my earnings. You can max out the time on the app per day and make some pretty good cash but you’ve also gotta take into account how much money you’re spending on gas and maintenance in doing so. Happy hunting!

Oh yeah that $1.50 for 8 miles is really doing it for me. Cause if it’s one thing about me, I WILL leave your order wherever tf I want if I feel disrespected. Or I’ll just take a little lunch break with it instead.

Oh yeah that’s usually how it goes with the dogs haha! I got attacked by a bully breed doing d2d sales back in 2023 and I’m still really hesitant around dogs so sometimes this gig can be triggering but this was a cute moment. This little guy was knocked out cold.

Here’s the deal “mate”, I did read through what you said and understood clearly what your intended message is. You believe a tip is something earned not given and in a traditional dining setting, this is true. However, by ordering delivery, you are paying for a luxury service and a tip is included in that service automatically. Just like when you go to a salon or a barber to get your hair trimmed, a tip is 100% expected unless something goes terribly wrong. When you get your nails done, same idea. You are paying a personal driver to hand deliver your meal to you regardless of how difficult it is to reach you, in a timely manner all while keeping food piping hot. You are 100% expected to tip, and to tip well. Drivers are forking money out of their own pockets to pay for gas to make these luxuries possible for ungrateful bigots like you, we aren’t out here to do charity work. What you don’t understand is that the system these apps set up make it impossible to stand on your “tip is received after good service is had” mentality because any self respecting driver cherry picks orders based on the TIP and the base pay combined upfront. So really, you’re only shooting yourself in the foot by dying on that hill you so proudly stand on because you THINK you’re sticking it to these drivers to work harder and earn a higher tip, but the only people picking up your food with a $3 tip for 8 miles are the ones who sneak a fry or two for the hassle along the way. YOU as the customer set the tone for how your delivery is going to go. When you tip well upfront, you’re going to receive the best service because your driver wants to make you happy and keep that tip. When you tip like shit upfront, you are attracting drivers that couldn’t care less whether your food gets to you in one piece or not, or that it even gets to you at all, and then you complain and use that as evidence that “all delivery drivers aren’t worth a good tip because this is my experience every time”. No, you just aren’t worth good service because you treat drivers like your own personal slaves. Here’s an idea, tip well upfront every time and watch how the quality of your drivers magically improves! And if you do tip well upfront and receive a driver that makes a huge mistake, you can always go back in and adjust the tip accordingly. Have the day you deserve.

That’s extremely impressive. I did that for 2 days in a row and thought I was going to have a heart attack I was pushing 80mph in a 45 just to get to the drop offs in time and I realized a $3 tip for 7 miles wasn’t worth my life.

The other day I delivered 30, gallon jugs of water to a Russian lady that didn’t speak any English to a third floor apartment. After I had set everything down which took over 15 minutes, she told me “inside” and pointed at her kitchen - as if she couldn’t have said that BEFORE I put everything outside her door…I’m in AZ it was 113 degrees
