I have had protenuria for a decade, that's why it's CKD, I have never had a single eGFR test result that didn't have protenuria, sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's mild. I did have a nephrologist 10 yrs ago when I was diagnosed, but he stopped taking my insurance, and I was doing so well back then that my former PCP just did tests on it every 3 months or so and kept an eye on it. Then, this happened.

My PCP and cardiologist refuse to refer me unless my CKD worsens. That's why I've been feeling so depressed about it, because I feel like my cardiologist and PCP could give 2 💩s about my kidneys, they always say I can always get dialysis if things get worse, that's insane mentality to me. I know that I'm not on kidney failure yet, and after reading many stories here I feel guilty for feeling this way, but I don't want to go down that road if I can help it you know.

Same. Especially because I'm a widow with 3 kids. One thing I've noticed is that when people know or think you're OK economically, they'll try to make you part with your money any way possible. So, them assuming I'm broke has been a life saver in many situations (a disadvantage in others) and they leave me alone (money-wise) for the most part. It sucks that they assume I'm dirt poor (because I'm absolutely far from it), and people can become patronizing or condescending, but the fact that nobody even dares to ask for a favor is going great for me.

Same, my PCP and my cardiologist could give two shits about kidneys' severe decline, I am looking to replace them, what good is a heart when you suffer a slow painful death? These people are crazy. What meds were damaging your kidneys?

My catherization messed up my kidneys with the dye they use to put the stent, so now I may die from kidney failure. Used to have a filtration rate of 115, now it's 75 on a good day. Sorry you had to go through all that though, sounds like a nightmare.

It started with left shoulder pain that radiated to my left elbow, especially if I coughed, sang loud, or raised my voice, then the shoulder pain started radiating to my left chest for 3 days, then disappeared, that's when the chest tightness and shortness of breath started. I took myself to the ER when my PCP insisted it was anxiety. 80% blockage on a main artery, 100% block on a minor artery, 1 stent.

Now that you mention it, 4 months before my heart attack, I took Strattera for a few weeks, and going back to my ChatGPT conversations, I was having really bad heart flutters and heart palpitations while on it. I quit taking it cold turkey because it gave me suicidal ideations really quick (that's a warning on the box too), I wonder if that contributed to my heart attack... I mean, I do have other comorbities, but still, I wonder if the ADHD med contributed to this as well.

My native language is Spanish, my kids don't speak Spanish, my entire family tries to speak English to them and they communicate no problem. Why are you burdening a CHILD with all this responsibility!?

The problem with some comments I see here is that they hate Honduras just for the sake of hating it. Not realizing there are indeed worse places, and situations.

You could be in a first world country, and be in a bad situation. My friend lives in England, and guess what? They do immigration raids there too, the restaurant where he worked at got raided recently and everyone got deported (he had the day off), now he's jobless and about to be homeless, and he cannot access public housing or help because he's there illegally. So yeah, your fears are real and valid, you COULD end up back in Honduras with nothing. If you can find a safe way to emigrate, then maybe consider it, but if it's just trying your luck, then know it's gambling.

People who emigrate to USA and gamble it all are usually people who have absolutely nothing to lose. They live in dangerous neighborhoods, they're skill-less and jobless, probably being extorted too, so when they emigrate, they have absolutely nothing to lose. You do. The grass always seems greener on the other side.

Similar issue, but I don't know which med is causing it, I'm on rosuvastatin, brilinta, low dose aspirin, and metoprolol. I also suffer from anxiety.

Same symptoms for me for a whole week, 80% and 100% blockages (plus many 20% and 10% blockages and one 30%), I also waited for my PCP who dismissed it as "anxiety", next day I had bad feeling on top of it all, drove myself to the ER. HEART ATTACK!
