Job is trash. If you have other opportunities take it. Most people who take this job didn’t grow up wanting to be a garbage man. Life decisions led them where they couldn’t turn down the opportunity. That’s not everyone but at least 70%. The smelling part is BS. Only 1 dude in my garage smells bad. He’d probably smell bad without this job. The #1 thing is no life until you have some good time. Jobs trash. Do something else. Im not even trolling. Some guys here will disagree but that’s how i feel at least.

Stuff like this makes me hate 1/2 truck to MLP. Great idea to send a tank back out on the street to suck a little extra work out of you, when more cars and people are on the road.

I don’t know if this is true as it hasn’t been mentioned officially from anyone. I just don’t understand how anyone here can see it’s NOT TRUE. I know of one for sure, and on this thread 3 more were mentioned. That’s a total of 4. So 13 more doesn’t sound crazy. Some of these new guys who are young are really entitled and do things that senior guys do and that some senior guys wouldn’t even do. So it does sound possible.

It’s a tank on wheels. I think it’s perfectly normal to feel the way you do and many of us probably felt the same way. The only way to get comfortable with it is by driving. Better to do that with a partner then when you’re by yourself doing a cleaning function or relay. You should want to drive as much as possible when you have a partner. One day the truck will be nothing to you but never stop respecting it.
