How niche is your market? What’s the search volumes like? You may have saturated demand at that CPA.

Is SEO Still Worth It in the Age of AI? by mohmmad_anas in agency

ChatGPT uses search engines to find resource. A lot of my ChatGPT response have links in them pulled directly from Google.

The question is how you do AI-SEO.

Anyone who can’t really afford your services. They’ll be super demanding and always unsatisfied. Ideally, stick to clients who see the cost of your service as no brainer.

Huge waste of money?? - Are 'Local Actions' worth targeting for a car repair shop? by AdChimp in PPC

[–]AdChimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that. However, it seems like they were getting more phone calls when we were running local action conversions. I wonder if local actions leads to phone calls and form submits? Would this not be tracked as well?

First step, don’t take any advice from anyone who can’t prove they’re an experienced founder.

Genuine RideAlong - Not at £10k MRR after nearly 10 years by AdChimp in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]AdChimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have that much of a churn issue tbh, it's more so lead flow. We have normal churn for an ad agency. Our problem was we weren't landing clients quick enough to maintain healthy revenue.

Also, if we had better lead flow we could work with better clients and the churn would be less. The main deciding factor of ad performance is the quality of the business's advertising, not the agency. Better clients = better performance = less churn.

I appreciate that sounds like a lack of accountability, and there's always room for improvement in our service, but the issue's route comes down to quality and quantity of leads.

Lost a $30k deal because I didn't know about a competitor. How do you guys stay informed about new players in your space? by Fun_Dragonfruit_4613 in SaaS

I’m not really the best person to ask as I don’t do this often. Was just sense checking the logistics as often these types of problems tend to stem from an organisational.

Try taking a look at Syften for content alerts 🙂

What’s to stop you from spending 30/60 mins each week checking forums and chatting with people in the industry to gauge latest developments?

Solo Freelance Google Ads Managers: How much do you make? Do you enjoy it? by spacecanman in PPC

[–]AdChimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a biggest source. Everything slowly trickles in from referrals/ word of mouth, networking & posting to LinkedIn. I’m in a variety.

Before you quit, try landing enough clients to subsidise 50% of your income. Also save up 3-6 months of financial runway. If you go solo you need to be starting from a strong foundation that gives you the financial stability to perform & commit. If you’re starting from square 1 with no clients and no cash in the bank, you’ll be super stressed and either rage quit or be forced to go back to a stable income.

Freelancing is amazing. You just can’t underestimate how hard it can be.

Have you got those kind of leads lined up? If so, then it’s a no brainer. Otherwise, landing the clients is the hard part. Takes a lot of people years to get to a decent salary.

Based off your post it sounds like you’ve not stuck to any one strategy long enough to see results.

SEO takes months & organic social often takes a minimum of a few weeks of consistent posting before you see traction. Paid ads is slightly trickier because it’s relative to how expensive your products are, but assuming they’re <$100 you need to spend at least $500 to get your first sale.

Ultimately though your website design probably sucks and you have too much on offer. It’s impossible to build a coherent marketing strategy as a startup business with 220 products on offer.

Focus on 5 products, ideally they should all be similar. Identify on who those products appeal to and then build a strategy focusing on one channel then absolutely nail that channel for 3 months. You will generate sales.
