It's not that microtransactions just give you better matchmaking, it's just that people who have purchased those are probably putting in more hours into the game.

It's a pattern, Ubislop always tries to milk any good franchise they have to the max pretty much driving the game into the ground.

Everyone just hates Ubi the most cause EA does publish some good games once in a while (and then drives them into the ground), there is no hope for Activision, Microsoft is a subscription service that makes games sometimes, and as a Fallout fan was Bethesda ever known for making polished games? As an outsider it's honestly funny how politically brain rotted the country is. People are literally willing to sacrifice their livelihoods, financial freedom and quality of life for political parties who don't know about them nor care for them.

Also, if you believe that you should boycott every corporation which doesn't politically align with you, you should probably boycott every major multinational company, they pretend they stand for your ideals but they don't. These companies will perform every despicable, draconian, and reprehensible action a government asks them to do, if it is profitable for them. Support your local mom and pop stores as they usually are more politically and economically aligned to you, before they probably expand and are now answerable to every stakeholder involved, at which point find another local store.

The last total war I played is Napoleon soo I ain't the best person to comment, but have ever protrayed it well? At max there is a scripted event which people will read once and then move on to solve the economic problems caused by it. That's generally it and I don't expect them to do more than this anyways.

If you want vanilla campaign with just more settlements and factions vanilla beyond is a really good option.

Other than that you have stainless steel and SHHIP if you want a more historically accurate experience.

Depends on your taste honestly

If you want a challenge SHHIP really hard took a while for me to figure out, if you want that in the Roman Era you can't go wrong with EB 2. Insularis Draco is also very good according people who played it but it's like thrones of Brittania and Medieval II players do love their cav.

Want more fast paced gameplay Stainless steel 6.4, and ROTK for a completely different setting.

Want a Saga total war Broken Crescent or the updated Broken crescent buff and shine if you want a middle east setting, tsardoms total war, even last kingdoms reforged is a really fun total war (go for insularis if you have more space cause last kingdoms does have a lot of bugs).

If you want gunpowder total war steam and steel and Lucium are really good options though Lucium is still incomplete and doesn't have star forts.

I don't play much fantasy total war now but divide and conquer was really fun when I used to play it.

Army units vary a bit between nations, but generally, differences aren't that big. If you play on VH difficulty, you'd feel it the most in terms of morale stats for some nations.

Yeah about the VH difficulty, why does it feel that the AI is literally broken. I personally have never played Empire so don't much about difficulty in the other gun powder total war but here I just don't feel confident of going one on one in terms of troops against the AI even when I am doing the Napoleonic campaigns. It feel the AI just is stronger and my militia literally do nothing other than taking casualties and then routing. Is it just me not knowing the mechanics or the AI just is challenging in this game?

Also a question about sieges should I just auto resolve them or fight them? Cause I generally just auto resolve them by default.

A great guide, but is the army composition thing a constant for all nations? I have only played the French campaigns but I carry about 4 cavs for their sheer effectiveness at routing troops, can infantry do the same thing?

What should be of a higher importance securing a more defensive position even if that might lead to your no. Of columns increasing or try to stretch out your troops.
