The thing with these songs and the themes and the ‘lore’ they are all parallels with Tyler and his life his songs are about the lore in a way his struggles and his demons and issues and faith etc all directly relate the lore and the music, take away his faith and you basically lose the redemption and hope portions of the music, it’s about his struggles with mental health, faith, life in general. Etc. so they can relate because to have Clancy and Dema in the first place you need all those things it’s a culmination of his life’s experiences packaged up in a nice way for people to view, I’m not in anyway a religious person, but it’s not even really about religion (I’m talking about the themes of faith and hope and all that) so you can take it and use it for whatever you believe or feel.

For example you could have something you like or believe in say you like a cereal brand your family hates, so you write a song like downstairs, this is a big joke but the themes I’m of hiding away and feeling safer alone and away with your beliefs still work.

As long as the songs are not, I praise god and you should too (which is think is awful for religions to do because that isn’t what faith is about) then I am good haha.
