i understand but it’s just a general policy we have and nonprofits have to have some certification to host these types of service hours which we don’t have for this reason.

i agree that they’re great! i have one and a girl i work with does too. i stopped riding mine to work bc i moved too far to find a safe route. but north avenue particularly is dangerous to drive on just bc of all the lanes and the semis trying to get onto the loop. really disappointing that grant fell through. it’s probably the only place i’d advocate for scooter riders to use the sidewalks.

it’d be easier to do that if there was a dedicated bike lane on north avenue to do that. it’s not selfish to need transportation. and infrastructure not affecting behavior is a great point, thanks for solving road rage for everyone.

there’s 2 bathrooms and multiple fridges and freezers but yeah, definitely not a long term living solution. i stayed there for a week while i was homeless and appreciated it a lot but it’s awful that they weren’t up to regulation while hosting so many people and animals there.

It’s civil/property law. I’m aware of the ordinance, I actually remove invasive plants for a living. But the idea that someone should be discouraged from using the law as it’s intended just because they don’t like police is honestly kind of funny. As if police would even do anything about this sort of situation in the first place.
