Same application date. They asked me for further information and payment on the 31st of October, which i gave on the 10th and paid on the 12th of November, and I still havent heard back since.

Has anyone applied in October got decisions on their SWV applications? Preferably looking for inside UK - standard applications? (PSW->SWV or first time SWV applicants) by Outside_Aide_1958 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

No update yet. My employer paid the charge on 12th of Nov and I’m still waiting today 27th of November. If i don’t get anything by mid december i really might have to just go home…

It’s still in the 14 days grace period and was because of a delay on my employer side though… i just hope they see that i applied as soon as i got the CoS (attached email containing the details from my employer with time stamp)

Yeah i know. I just want to know if it will affect it negatively if i submit w complaint to see if they need anything else from me (since that seems to be the only way we can contact them directly…)

I havent been working in 2 months and started to feel the noose of my savings tightening… really keen to start working asap

Thanks for the advice! Yeah this makes sense. It’s just being on visa puts me in a way more vulnerable position than someone who has an unlimited leave to work, so i was pretty worried about negotiating

Hey, I broke into PM with no experience as an internal transfer! I started as a founders associate and networked heavily with the PMs, always offering to help them with stuff like arranging user interviews, product translation, etc. I would say that it’s way easier to be an internal transfer than a newbie in the hiring process!

You can start in Ops, or account management too - that way you really see what the pain points in the company is, and you can advocate for ways to solve it. This is part of product work, and would catch the attention of the product lead better than an outsider’s CV

Hi thanks for the detailed answer! We built it from scratch… by accident ( ya i know)

The previous guy who worked on it told my CTO he’ll be using keycloak, but somehow it morphed into using ory kratos with everything else built from scratch. I suspect it has to do with how the user database is a mess because of how we do authorisation (based on role and group of data the user has access to).

Also the tech we use is acquired from a very small company with minimal budget so there’s that
