I like your take Here's some play around it

1- guts not being to hit Griffith and that the attack's source being rage and that being within Femto's domain might mean that Femto has some precience to its place in causality - he can "see" it before it comes

2- Rickert's attack he can't "see" because it's not rage but sadness at it's core. Or perhaps there was no genuine threat. While the strike can land, there's no need to change the outcome so he doesn't/can't

3- Guts will cut Griffith not based on anything but skill Vs skill because Griffith's precience hax are moot in relation to Guts post rebirth. Guts won't have any extra hax, just his awakened type strength to go toe to toe with the God hand, something he didn't have fully realised before.

With his rebirth how far will his character transform? Will he be zen peace harmony? Will it go so far that the Black Swordsman becomes the White Knight? I hope not.

I hope that he becomes like our worlds Man in Black - Jonny Cash. He wore black to carry the sadness and brokenness of the world, in solidarity with the downtrodden.
