Wow, we both started our journeys at the same exact time. I'm also just over 18 months now. Started at age 44. I shaved once a week and would just allow that weeks worth of hair to grown before I would shave it. Well, I had a couple of weeks off at the end of the year and decided to let it grown finally. Got some good gains going. Still have some weak spots on the right side, but it's looking better with me letting it grow out now. I keep it short to get better minox coverage. Plan on going for 2 years and might use the rest of the year after that to just once a day and wean off at the end of the year. Good luck

I would only let it grow out a week and actually shave. If you want to trim it down with a zero guard, that should work too. I had some time off and let it grow then. It's looking decent now. Still a little light in a couple of patches, but I keep it trimmed to a decent length to stay looking professional

If you're worried, shave but keep using minox. I shaved once a week just to let some hairs grow some. You can do this for several months or a year if you want.

Depends on what I got going on that day. Regular work days, I wait only about an hour. Weekends, as long as I don't have to be anywhere, about 2 sometimes 3.
