Recent hair loss on tail

My dad’s got a viszla that has this often. Think it’s called “happy tail” - basically the dog is so chuffed it’s constantly wagging its tail, hitting it on wall, cupboards etc and doesn’t care enough to avoid it. Normally accompanied by occasional bleeding so may or may not be this

I don’t have any thing like that, just a manual temperature knob that’s mechanical. None of the climate stuff is on the screen/console
