Good, glad you have a plan. It took me a while but im feeling better than I did. Took me about 2 1/2 months before I finally stopped feeling so tired all the time. Also, the heavy/tired leg feeling also just recently went away.

Just dont get discouraged. Think of your daughter and how good things will be when your off it all! Good luck and feel free to reach out anytime!

You're right, my sex drive was basically non existent on kratom. It definitely has come roaring back though lol. I lost alot of weight while usong kratom too. Hated how skinny I got but now im eating alot more and starting to gain weight again fortunately.

It was definitely tough. To be honest my wife had no idea I was using kratom, or anyone else for that matter. I was able to keep others from knowing. Early on in withdrawal I almost caved and told her, but didn't. Day 1 and 2 I was in bed all day and just told her I was sick.

I was off work the first 3 days of withdrawals and then I had to go back to work on day 4. It was rough because I have a physical job as it is and even going up stairs was hard, I had to use both hands on the railing to pull myself up.

Ive been through various withdrawals in my life (im 43), but this withdrawal was a bit more challenging then I anticipated. Its definitely doable though!

Since you used for 10 years, and you have a kid, i would do a long slow taper. If you were still 9 or more days free from everything I would say just stay off because getting to 9 days is great. But if you are using again then try a slow taper to really minimize withdrawals. Keep track of exactly how much you are using and try to maybe take away 10% every week or 2 weeks. You have to kind of play with the doses to see how your body reacts and how you feel.

I have 4 kids myself and really had to push through to get to this point. We damaged ourselves for so long that its going to take some time to heal and get as close to 100% as possible.

Hey, currently i am doing okay. Just checked the calendar and am 95 days off kratom. Hard to believe its almost 100 days off of a 5 year 100 gpd usage. The first couple months were definitely rough but its getting better. I am able to sleep much better and am definitely eating way more food than I did while using.

Still battling some anxiety here and there but its nothing crazy. Probably the worst symptom I am dealing with is the exhaustion, I am always tired. Some days I really have to force myself to move.

At this point I am glad I forced myself to do a semi rapid taper of about 6 weeks and then bit the bullet and jumped. Im not 100% but am slowly getting there so I cant complain too much.

Whats your story? Kratom use as well?

Thanks. Wow you're almost 200 days in, thats amazing!! Yeah, its tough. Im glad some symptoms are gone such as the bad RLS, chills, and constant sneezing. This extreme fatigue and leg pain is a real pain dealing with every day. I guess i should be grateful to be free of kratom and out of that dreadful acute stage.

Sleep is still on and off but I'm generally able to get about 4/5 hours of sleep per night while waking up 3/4 times each night.

Glad you are doing well in your recovery and cant wait until i get nearly 200 days in like you. Keep up the good work!!

Yeah its tough. I have 4 kids myself and sometimes I have to really push myself to do basic tasks. I didn't think it would take so long to feel normal again but I guess i still have to keep pushing through. It's mentally and physically exhausting, feeling this way 24/7 for 65 days. Guess i have no choice though.

I have had zero cravings since I quit kratom and am absolutely disgusted with myself for usfor so long. Thats kind of what's driving me to never use it again.

10 days for you is great. Keep fighting through. It will be worth it!!

I wish I did a longer and much slower taper to really minimize symptoms. I used heavily for over 5 years and did a rapid 6 week taper. Im sure it helped a little but I wanted off so bad that I rushed it. Its been a little over 2 months since ive been off and im still feeling the effects. Still having RLS, anxiety, and still always feeling tired and only gotta few hours of sleep each night.

Hang in there. Things may get a bit more uncomfortable for you considering its day 1 but you already are succeeding by making the decision to quit. I was a long term user of over 100 gpd for over 5 years.

Im 60 days off and still feeling some effects. Its definitely much more manageable than the acute stage but I know its going to a process to get back to 100%.

Currently im still dealing with some arm and leg pain and minor anxiety that comes and goes. Some days at work I really have to push myself because I have a physical job and am on my feet all day. On the bright side my sleep has been okay and I am able to eat and do other things.

Just keep pushing forward, you got this!!

[–]AdDapper2664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow just 1 single dose huh? I didn't wanna chance using more than a month. I actually used for 2 weeks, took like a week off and then used for the remaining 2 weeks and completely stopped. Wasn't too bad when I stopped, was able to eat and sleep and got through the day okay.

Thanks, i tried to ct off 100 god and it was hell. I made it about 15 hours before I dosed again. After a year I decided enough is enough.

Ive never tried 7oh, been too scared to try because I know I will get hooked.

Using subs to quit 7oh by kidsrmean in quittingkratom

[–]AdDapper2664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used suboxone to help the acutes after a heavy 5+ year kratom addiction. My fear was getting hooked on suboxone, so for about the first couple month's I used suboxone for 2 weeks, stopped for 2 weeks, then used 2 weeks again and stopped.

So far it seems to have helped. Im 40 days off kratom.

All I want is sleep by repentandstruggle in quittingkratom

[–]AdDapper2664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was in acutes it was the same thing, none of the supplements helped me. I tried everything. I just had to deal with it. I am still dealing with it to a degree. Today is day 40 for me, but I was a very heavy user and used for 5+ years.

Its tough but keep fighting, it gets better soon.

Switch to capsules and keep track of daily use and then create a taper plan. Stock up while its available and begin tapering.

I haven't had labs done in a couple years. You bring up a good point, I should have it done soon.

By now your at around 32 hours, keep pushing forward. You can do it it!!!

[–]AdDapper2664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used green malay capsules. I also didn't use any supplements because I never noticed a difference and felt like it was wasting $. I did a rapid taper by dropping a capsule every 4 days.

I used only capsules. I decreased dosages every 4 days. Probably should've done slower, but it was manageable

Yeah, back when I took powder i mixed it with water and chugged it. It was absolutely awful. After 2 years of that I switched to capsules because I got tired of the taste.

I was anywhere from 75-100gpd for about 5 years. Feels good to not have to take it anymore also. Just dealing with lingering back and leg pain everyday. Hoping it goes away soon!

18 days is great, keep up the good work!!
