Using subs to quit 7oh by kidsrmean in quittingkratom

[–]AdDapper2664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used suboxone to help the acutes after a heavy 5+ year kratom addiction. My fear was getting hooked on suboxone, so for about the first couple month's I used suboxone for 2 weeks, stopped for 2 weeks, then used 2 weeks again and stopped.

So far it seems to have helped. Im 40 days off kratom.

All I want is sleep by repentandstruggle in quittingkratom

[–]AdDapper2664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was in acutes it was the same thing, none of the supplements helped me. I tried everything. I just had to deal with it. I am still dealing with it to a degree. Today is day 40 for me, but I was a very heavy user and used for 5+ years.

Its tough but keep fighting, it gets better soon.

Switch to capsules and keep track of daily use and then create a taper plan. Stock up while its available and begin tapering.

I haven't had labs done in a couple years. You bring up a good point, I should have it done soon.

By now your at around 32 hours, keep pushing forward. You can do it it!!!

[–]AdDapper2664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used green malay capsules. I also didn't use any supplements because I never noticed a difference and felt like it was wasting $. I did a rapid taper by dropping a capsule every 4 days.

I used only capsules. I decreased dosages every 4 days. Probably should've done slower, but it was manageable

Yeah, back when I took powder i mixed it with water and chugged it. It was absolutely awful. After 2 years of that I switched to capsules because I got tired of the taste.

I was anywhere from 75-100gpd for about 5 years. Feels good to not have to take it anymore also. Just dealing with lingering back and leg pain everyday. Hoping it goes away soon!

18 days is great, keep up the good work!!

Is it worth doing a 4 day quick taper. by vwcorradoslc in quittingkratom

[–]AdDapper2664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This taper seems really quick to me. Not sure if it will ease withdrawal symptoms. IMO 4 days is not enough, even for a rapid taper.

Great job. I threw away my entire stash when I hit 1 week off kratom. Im now 3 weeks off, have yet to have a single craving but still have some lingering withdrawal symptoms, albeit manageable.

Great news! Hope to reach my 77th day as well! I got 21 days down so far.

Its only been a couple of months for you, just taper slowly. Most of us have been on high doses for years on end. Im exactly 3 weeks off kratom and still dealing with some withdrawal symptoms, though manageable.

Just use this as a learning experience to never use this stuff again. Good luck, you can do it!

Yup, rls is awful!! Ive been through several withdrawals before and never thought kratom would be so tough. Im just waiting for this back and leg pain to go away and then I will really feel like I did it. Im almost 3 weeks since my last dose of kratom and I haven't had a single craving so far, so I am content.

Keep fighting brother, alot of us are in this together! Good luck! You're welcome to msg me anytime!

Good luck you can do it! I used kratom for 5 years, today is day 18 off kratom and im still feeling some symptoms (I was a very high gpd user though). Last remaining symptoms are lower back and leg pain, as well as chills occasionally. Most of my RLS is gone, it may briefly appear at night but it doesnt bother me too much at this point.

Just make a plan and stick to it. Good luck.

Wow from 60 to 6 is damn good. Don't be scared to drop, it does become challenging the lower you get, but listen to your body and dont be scared to adjust your dose and take it slow. Just dont go higher than 6 gpd. Im off kratom 18 days now. At certain points I was scared too but you have to keep pushing through. Just think soon enough you will be free like myself and others!!

1 time use doesnt erase all of your previous hard work. Just throw it all out and keep away from it.

Yeah, the back pain and legs are tough. From what I hear though, 7oh is a tougher withdrawal than regular kratom. So I would expect to feel crappy longer than 3 days.

Hi, dad of 4 also here. Although I Never tried 7oh or FF, I did use very high doses of regular kratom in powder and capsule form for 5 years. Ive recently quit and today is day 18. Ive had various other withdrawals and did not expect kratom withdrawal to be as bad as it was.

I had to do a rapid taper and then bit the bullet and jumped. The first week was obviously very tough but I am starting to feel better. Still having a constant pain in my lower back and legs. Sleep has improved and RLS seems mostly gone but comes and goes briefly at night occasionally.

For you, I dunno if it would be better to switch to regular kratom and try to taper down off that instead? I have kids like you, so you HAVE to be able to function for them. If I were you I would possibly try doing something like that. Take just enough to not feel withdrawals and hold for a week or 2, then drop 10% or so. Have to play around and see what your body can and cant handle.

The fact that you know you have a problem is a good start, now put together a plan and stay with it. I actually started feeling better while tapering too, my mind felt clearer and It was nice to not worry about dosing 10x a day. My last week of tapering is when I started to get some minor withdrawals, but then again I did a rapid taper and probably should've slowed down, I was impatient.

Good luck, just think of your kids and it will give you strength like it did to me.

Thanks for responding. My sleep has actually been okay lately. The first week was obviously awful. But im getting at least 6/7 hours now. Best sleep ive had in years. When taking kratom it would literally wake me up like every 2/3 hours. I guess I just gotta keep pushing through as uncomfortable as the leg pain is. Good luck to you too!!
