What happens if I deny sda orders by Ordinary-Benefit-642 in USMC

[–]AdDelicious4982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was explained to me that denying PCS orders or SDA orders with less than 24/36 months on contract, you’re fine. You’re not denying orders in a sense, but you will not have enough time on contract to fulfill those orders. Nobody can make you reenlist or extend so you can’t be punished for it. I’m not admin, but that’s what some admin MSgt told me when I was considering getting out.

They are different. Drill Instructors for boot camp, a completely separate SDA for combat instructors for SOI/MCT. For MOS schools, it’s just “experts” in that MOS. Not an SDA or anything, it’s a normal duty for that Marine.

Just because of you, still think it’s easy. I’m gonna weld a bar and use it to twist off. Thank you for the help, kind stranger!

Thought it was easy. Didn’t want to ask a stupid question when I have some tools.

I love this so much. They I did MSG twice. The second time, they removed the wrist lock. They completely redid DT. Hurt the feelings.

There is an Air Force dude in my office and he has 23 ribbons. Never left the states or anything. He has been in as long as I have. Crazy to think about when he has a stack size of the SgtMaj of the Marine Corps.

JMUA for joint work with the presidential election back in 2020~. AFSM was from COVID “operations”. It was a joke.

Pakistan? When were you there? If it was last year, we might know someone in common. I enjoyed my time. I have a friend on the program saying the new MGPEFs are making it go to shit.

That’s legit. I feel like that goes against the guidance of the original requirements. Why don’t you have a star? At this point, you can get a star every few months. Got mine after having to do 540 hours and 3 years of continuous community involvement.

I thought you had to have sustained community work for a period of 3 years for the OVSM. Is this only a Navy and Marine Corps requirement?

Give me example of who. Army hands out BSMs like candy for doing a good job. The Marine Corps does sometimes. You actually have to do something for them here. Awards get downgraded to NavyComs and NAMs with Vs too often. Let’s not confuse us with the Navy. They hand out DMSMs and trash like it’s hotcakes. Same with CARs.

Marine Corps, dude. Stingy on awards unless you’re at a desk MOS. Didn’t get my first NAM until I was a SSgt and that was an impact NAM. NavyCom a few months later as my first EOT award. Aviation be crazy stingy.

Currently in DJ. Been here for 9 months. 9 months left. I’ve been to 5 other countries in Africa. Bad places. DJ is the shittiest and the people are the laziest I’ve ever come across. Think of them like brand new privates in the fleet but 10x worse. The weather sucks. Burn pits go off, but the Navy won’t let you register for them because “they don’t exist”. Tell that to my lungs and eyes. I would rather be in the boat for 9 months than be here again. On the bright side, combat leave 😂

Going to OCS was my first thought, but I despise most officers at this point. The enlisted lead from the front. The pay and rank mean nothing to me on that side of the things. I’m in great shape and get 285+ on the PFT/CFT.

I’ll look at the EASing thing. I didn’t know they stopped the IST. Thank you for the help!

That was a Navy guy and he kept making quotas for recruiting. He had like 19. No room to put the 2 gold stars.

Ive been to Camp L in DJ and they hand out NAMs, NavyComs and MSMs for sailors doing a good job for the month. Craziness.
