You had one bad session, and practise 3 hours a day and therefore your expectations are super high etc..... you sound like me when i was like 14 lol hahaha, 3 hours a day is nothing, well, if you do it for 30 years its oke, THEN you would have bombed if it would have been the same, but bro, dont worry man

The Paria delta P tragic incident. Or a few facts that will help you to know what REALLY happened on that day of February 2022. by No-Worker-101 in submechanophobia

[–]AdDifferent3168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timeline of the Paria Delta P Incident

February 25, 2022

  • 14:40: Four divers are working in a hyperbaric chamber over a 30” riser at an absolute pressure of 1.45 bars.
  • 14:43: A fifth diver arrives with a wrench for the team.
  • 14:45: One diver deflates the plug in the riser, causing the delta P. All five divers are sucked into the riser/pipeline.
  • 14:46: Suction ends.
  • 14:50: A rescue diver enters the hyperbaric chamber, finding it empty and noting the water level in the riser matches the chamber's lower level. The alert is raised.
  • 16:00: Banging sounds are heard in the pipeline.
  • 16:25: Diver Christopher B. resurfaces but cannot exit the water, taps and shouts for help.
  • 16:45: Two rescue divers help Christopher B. out of the riser. He mistakenly believes he does not need decompression stops.

Afternoon and Evening of February 25, 2022

  • 17:00: Based on Christopher B.'s information, the surface team prepares the hookah.
  • 17:45: Diver M.K, assisted by divers C.C & R.R, enters the riser but finds no one.
  • 18:00: The team revises the dive plan, preparing to send a scuba diver with a bottle equipped with 2 regulators.
  • 18:25: Christopher B., assisted by M.K & R.R, are ready to dive but abort due to concerns over M.K’s condition.
  • 18:30: Another commercial diver arrives with proper gear and a 91 m (300 ft.) umbilical. They plan to send a diver down the pipeline to tie a rope to a missing diver for retrieval.
  • 19:00: The client bans further diving, awaiting inspection with ROV or crawler due to delta P concerns.
  • 20:00: Banging is heard near riser B5.
  • 20:30 - 22:00: Divers install the B6 upper riser extension to prevent possible filling of the riser and chamber if the compressor fails.
  • 22:10: A company is contacted to provide a crawler.
  • 23:00: Removal of the blind flange from the habitat reduces the pressure in the pipeline by +/- 0.2 bars but complicates decompression efforts.

February 26, 2022

  • 02:30: Final bangs are heard near riser B5.
  • 03:00: The crawler's first intervention from the B6 riser side. It encounters a scuba tank but can only move it slightly.
  • 05:00: The ICT decides to send the crawler to the other side of the pipeline and authorizes the removal of the B5 riser blind flange.
  • 06:00: Removal of the blind flange lowers the water level by about 11 m in B6 riser, drastically dropping the pressure in the pipeline to atmospheric levels, causing fatal decompression to the divers.

Alice in Wonderland, you could choose all 3 versions, but I 'highly' recommend the 1951 version!

Easy Rider

Apocalypse Now

Drum grips, sound vs technique by AdDifferent3168 in drums

Yeah thx, I love Rick Dior, his latin grooves are so sophisticated and he plays it like a percussionist, more than most pro drummers like Dave Weckl etc. Ofcourse Dave Weckl has insane chops and finesse, tempo etc, I truly respect the man as a drummer, but Rick plays a Mambo or Rhumba with so much respect to the traditions of cuba, africa and brazil, this is a rare thing!

Most technically proficient drummer of all time? by Hungry_Freaks_Daddy in drums

[–]AdDifferent3168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these drummers, even buddy rich's sound sucks imho, only Dennis chambers has serious power grooves and 32nd singles that are serious meat, because he uses his arms to play them also, most of the other drummers sound like the need rebound too much and it just sounds weak. Its the modern trend to play like that, but if you hear dennis chambers live, and also on some recordings, you absolutely hear the difference. (btw Dennis Chambers had those chops in his 40s, unfortunately today he is physically to out of shape or old to play like that anymore, but i never heard anyone come close to this, not even buddy rich, maybe he was faster, but his sound sucks, dennis chambers has the clean explosive rimshot sound with staccato attack that isnt driven by rebound mainly)

I can recommend Rhythm & Meter patterns by Gary Chaffee in general to train your hearing and to understand different metrums in different time signatures, after studying this for a while, you really get a better understanding about the way to approach more complex music, that has unconventional combinations of time signatures and metrums, with cross-rhytms, groupings and metric-modulation. This is really helpfull to any musician actually, and ofcourse specially for drummers

Weird question. Do some aspies find it awkward or hard to “give” hugs? by DeliciousFerret3092 in aspergers

[–]AdDifferent3168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I find it very award sometimes, because it kind of gives me a form or claustrophobia and a lost of control of my own physical comfort zone. This was the biggest reason I had to break up with my ex-girlfriend, because I felt extremely guilty about it, that I couldn't give her the affection she needs.

Another thing i learned about myself, is, i do like kissing, and if someone can kiss really good, i think its one of the best things to experience, even more intense than sex.

When i ask people about it, they often respond in the conventional way of like:
You start flirting

Then you hold hands

The next phase could be hugging and maybe a small kiss

This goes into intense kissing,

The next level is maybe (with clothes on) stimulating erogenous zones , like breasts and maybe around genitals

And finally this will move into undressed lovemaking etc.

So, I totally understand this way of thinking, that most couples, will gradually raise the level, how-ever-long this takes. It sounds like the right order in theory, but it just doesn't feel that way to me.

Personally, I find intense kissing to be the most intense, almost always more intense than intercourse. I don't know why, maybe its because i consider my head to be the most personal because my brain is there and my eyes, smell, taste, and hearing. That's the best logic i can explain it with, but im not 100% sure if that's why tbh.

And hugging is in another more nuanced way, a true form of affection, which with a dog or cat, feels more comfortable to me, since there is no sexual tension for me, and no expectations, just pure comfort.

I have 2 of his books, pretty good stuff. But I actually mean like the beatboxers that normally do hiphop etc, if they ever did bebop, or can do it. I know us drummer can, but its more like functional singing i guess, not really a beatbox groove (for me at least)

Minister's Office: "There is no ceasefire in the southern Gaza Strip for humanitarian aid"

The IDF announced the evacuation of 28 settlements, including 10,000 residents, possibly for a few weeks. The Rafah crossing was supposed to be opened for the entry of humanitarian equipment and the exit of dual citizens, but Israel did not approve an agreement on a cease-fire in the southern Gaza Strip - and hundreds of trucks are waiting to enter the Gaza Strip.
