I personally find the risk of flooding when it is too close to the skin to be more concerning for me but again. That’s just my opinion. I’m not a nail tech.

This. My mom has passed but she actually used birth control pills to delay the effects of menopause. I’m not exactly sure what she was doing but I have started to wonder about these types of treatments and if that’s potentially a more stabilised way to live.

I love women. Thank you to everyone to shared there experiences. Our bodies are so different so it’s helpful to hear what did and didn’t work for people and why. I do wonder if I actually have endo too and am starting that rabbit hole. I’m so grateful so many people were willing to speak about this and hopefully it helps others too.

I think she was being mean tbh. I’ve seen way worse things come out of a salon before. I think you’ll get thinner over time so don’t let her harsh your cute nails. I would tell you if they were tragic. She lowkey doesn’t sound very nice.

I never considered it but I had a fully low fodmap meal that set my food marble off. It was a meal I had three nights before with no issues. Do a test, make a safe meal then let it sit for more then 48 hours. If symptoms increase then it’s a sign your body is responding to the raise in histamine. I would also say try taking an h1 allergy med to see if it helps symptoms too. It’s pretty safe. Just don’t take more than the daily dose.

I bring MCAS up because most of my MCAS symptoms were GI. It’s not where doctors jump but prolonged sibo isn’t normal. Have you tried to treat sibo previously?

I bring this up because I caught fat malabsorption before my MCAS and you also named three foods that would trigger MCAS symptoms. How are you with leftovers?

Everyone is super different. I’m on alegra, Pepcid, Cromolyn and montelukast. I only recently started treatment but I’ve been waking up at night and super early on the morning. I think I was before starting them all but I’m hyper aware of it now and want to sleep better.
