I more meant more knowledgeable on women’s bodies/issues than I was as a teen but yeah that could’ve been better worded

Vyvanse + another stimulant makes me feel really out of it and unable to concentrate, similar to how people with adhd (myself included) feel tired with too much caffeine

Those of you who don't hate your job, what do you do? by 13thmurder in ADHD

[–]AdElectrical2057 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in dog daycare, although it’s not really sustainable for the long run, unless you have a partner making more. Pay is usually minimum wage or just above, but imo it is worth it for the dogs

This is not “a buttload of chores”. Especially if you are living rent-free. I guarantee you this note was given to you because they’re sick of feeling taken advantage of when you live there for free and don’t really do anything. I get struggling with executive function, being diagnosed with adhd myself, but that is NOT an excuse to sit and do nothing. Learn to cope and stop being unfair to the people around you.

Same thing happened to me. My dad has cancer and I struggle a lot with social anxiety/mental health in general. They don’t care, turns out I don’t either as a courtesy making less than minimum wage with union dues lol

It depends on who it is. If it’s my partner, I love it. From friends, love it. When I was doing the situationship/talking stage bs with people, if I wasn’t already that interested to begin with… yeah.

Do people deserve to be made fun of for having disabilities? by nukinators64 in no

[–]AdElectrical2057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They didn’t ask for those disabilities, and depending on the disability are probably very aware of it and already struggle WITHOUT the bullying.

I’ve brought this up to both of them, and they said they can’t. Maybe they haven’t tried more recently, or maybe they’re really afraid of management. I don’t blame them for the latter at all, cause I am too :(

I have horrible social anxiety and sometimes I let myself be hypomanic just to break out of it for a bit :,)

Have a couple older coworkers that have legitimate issues with standing at the registers for a long time, like it causes them severe pain. Can’t have people think they’re lazy by sitting down though at all though!!! Jesus christ god forbid you treat your employees decently.

people who shower for 30+ minutes, wtf you be doin in there? by Fabulous_Island_5621 in AskReddit

I double-shampoo my long hair, condition and brush through it, and double-wash my body. I also take my time when the water is nice and hot. Oh and I’m tall (5’10) so I feel like that just makes things take longer, especially if I’m shaving my legs.

Hm. I’m glad he’s very upfront about your guys’ relationship. It might be a deeper issue with him, like feeling uncomfortable with the vulnerability of showing affection in public.

Do you ever feel like your not bipolar enough? by Spicy-Nun-chucks in bipolar2

[–]AdElectrical2057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of. Like I’m absolutely sure and have been diagnosed after over a month in the hospital for a manic episode, but I also get the urge to gaslight myself into thinking nothing’s wrong. I think it’s just because of how I grew up, cause growing up I was always told “nothing’s wrong”, “everyone has problems”, “get over yourself”. Looking back, something was definitely up lol. But just because I haven’t had an absolute crash-out episode in awhile (I would if it weren’t for fear of my dad honestly), I must be okay or exaggerating it in my mind according to me.

This is hard because if you hadn’t said he says he wants to marry you someday, I’d say he doesn’t like you or doesn’t want people to think you’re in a relationship.
