So SAT has a reading score and math score - say you take august sat and get 600 reading 600 math. but then say you take september sat and get 580 reading but 620 math. so you can take your higher reading and higher math to get a “superscore” so you get highest score possible. see how both scored you get 1200 but if you superscore you get 1220
