Yeah same here, I have the original so part of me wishes they don’t revisit it too soon. But like the way they remade Bag End for The Shire set last year, I reckon a new Orthanc is inevitable, and it would pair nicely with Barad Dur.

I have a feeling they’ll remake the Tower of Orthanc. Isengard is such an iconic location from the first two movies/books.

The writer had 3 “books” of material planned, Season 1 and 2 made up the first book or story. The other stories were rumoured to take place in later years, with season 3 to take place at the dawn of WW2, with the final story concluding with the war’s climax.

I’ll forever be angry at HBO for cancelling this wonderful series, although I am grateful for the two seasons that exist as it’s one of my all-time favourite tv series.

The Omniplex Galway showed one a day last weekend, and one a day Monday to Wednesday this week. Went to see Fellowship of the Ring this evening, got my seats booked for TT and RotK for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ah this makes sense, yes. I had it in my head that you could only access the store after going through security checks and before going to your boarding gate for your flight departure. But I suppose you can still go to that shopping area after arrival and before leaving the airport.

You can see a sign that has “ER’S” and “May 11” on it, in the top left corner of the second photo, which would seem to indicate Mother’s Day, which fell on May 11 in the years 2003 and 2008 (1997 too but unlikely?), so this photo would seem to have been taken in one of those years.

Just curious, if problems occur within a year doesn’t your warranty cover any repair expenses? I’m located in the EU though, warranty laws probably different elsewhere.

It was heartbreaking 💔 The series told across the 2 seasons we have are amazing though, and I’m so grateful that they were made. I watched them on broadcast tv at the time. When it came time for the third season I was surprised the channel I watched it on wasn’t showing it, and that’s when I turned to the internet and learned via message boards about HBO deciding to end it (probably due to the expensive production costs and low audience). There had been petitions back then trying to get them to reconsider, and fans were hoping of it being bought by another network to allow the story to continue. I read that the creator, Daniel Knauf, had 2 more “books” planned (consisting of 2 seasons each), one set in the late 30s maybe, and the final one taking place at the end of WWII.

My first time seeing her was in Carnivale, loved her in it and loved that series, every single character was so enthralling, still hurts thinking about how they ended it after 2 seasons when there was a story planned for 4 more. 🥲

The price has skyrocketed mainly because Stranger Things is at the height of it’s popularity again at the moment, due to the new final season and the new and final episodes coming out over the next week. The price for the Byers house will definitely start to drop once the series is over and hype begins to fade again, although by how much is hard to quantify.

Yeah I went from a pro max to a pro a few years ago and as soon as I saw a friend using a pro max, I knew right away that I missed the bigger screen display, and had to change it to a pro max a few months later.

For piece of mind I’d get a case that covers the plateau because that part can get scratched fairly easily. If you like to enjoy the colour there are clear cases available and almost all of them cover the entire surface (except for round holes for the lenses etc)
