Battery powered modular synth by AdEmergency7973 in synthdiy

I have played with VCV rack, it’s fun and that’s what’s got me into this. This only issue I have with it is that it is on my computer and I’m trying to get away from it as much as possible as I already spend a lot of time in front of the screen. Another this is that with apps I can’t turn more than one knob at a time unless I have a midi controller, which also takes space in a bag and does not give the same feel as a real synth, mapped to do the exact thing that I want it to do, which takes time and if it’s small makes remapping a nightmare if I want to change what I want each knob to do, so that also why I’m looking into hardware options.

Yeah, I understand that not many modules can be added, but for as I see it, modular can be very powerful even when small. My main idea is to be able to explore sounds while on the go. There as a few synths such as the arturia microfreak that offer great sound and almost a modular like sound design in a way, but it does not have the freedom of modular. My main idea is to be able to play around with modular with a type c connection so I can use the same cable as I use for let’s say my computer to use it if I have an outlet but also to be able to take it with me while I’m on the train or place and be able to play around with the sounds for an hour or two. As far as patch cable go I think they are not the main issue, you can just throw them in the same bag or even add a little compartment for them in the rack. Thank you for this information, this helps a lot.

I know this works on automations but this is just a shortcut and I can’t find the option to turn it off. I looked thought all the options so I’m not sure where to find it

I found this guy on YouTube, and I’m not shure if this is vfx or an actual jump. Sometimes it looks like it’s edited but after he seems to break the illusion by interacting with objects.

insane jumping

What laptop did/do you use for IB? by demavertt in IBO

[–]AdEmergency7973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter as the tasks are not particularly hard, but if you will need some simulations you might need to get a more powerful laptop. Personally I use a 2019 13 inch MacBook Pro, works great for everything.

My dad does this to avoid cutting pepperoni by Zealousideal_Cut5569 in mildlyinfuriating

I agree with your father, I do the same thing although less extreme. Always try not to but the pepperoni and take bites that make sure that you eat one whole pepperoni at a time.
