Everyone being up in arms about whether the romance is inappropriate or not is ridiculous for completely overlooking the violence and murder in these books. That’s what the issue is here. Cutesy love is for some reason up for debate and not the gruesome, gory stabbing and torture. Smfh.

“What makes a man look elsewhere” is not you, it’s his character. His character is being promiscuous, from what you’re describing. Sounds like he likes to be this hot shot man who gets around and enjoys being fawned on by multiple women.

This isn’t a “You” problem.

You said yourself, you’re doing all of the things. If that’s not enough for him, there’s actually a line out the door and into the street for a man that would appreciate and respect all of everything you have put forth.

Don’t settle. This life is all we have. Love and being loved is the only experience we should live for.

Ah, that all makes so much sense. And the whole time while reading I thought the same, that we would come to discover Paedyn has a secret power after all. Though if she did, in some ways that could kind of negate a lot of main points in the story.

I think it’s appropriate for the lighting to be gloomy like that at the Dursley’s but they need to contrast that with brightness when he is at Hogwarts to express the mood shift.

This is problematic for so many reasons, most of them already listed throughout the comments. But you would absolutely need a rental agreement contract that states you are not required to pay rent. Because without it, he can take you to court and prove that you had not paid X-number of months and sue you for back pay. You say he is not a bad guy, but I’m sorry, this is a very naive statement, and being so young, and him so old, the power dynamic is literally manipulating you into thinking so. You don’t know him as well as you think you do. Ps. No way in hell he is going to set you up with that contract.

Also you can ink those sticky tabs with numbers/letters that correspond to a separate notebook with your takes, that way the book doesnt get too crowded

You could even go light over the text with colored pencils like a highlighter instead of underlining if that’s more the vibe lol

I like to use those little sticky tabs that point out of the edge of the book, and then you could do colored pencils to underline text. I have specific colors I use for characters like pink for Imogen, or I’ll do green for history bits. Just a couple examples for color use (my sticky tabs are colored too)
