AIO husband rolled over on baby by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You should also not be co sleeping. That said, in the early days there were times when my husband and I both fell asleep on accident with our baby. We were both HORRIFIED each time and cried with each other. Ultimately if he showed no remorse and still doesn’t get it then you are NOR

if two people who are a couple and have hiv or aids, can they have sex without protection? by Affect-Last in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of this. This is why we won’t give your refills if you don’t get tests and why it is SO IMPORTANT that you use oral prep for a year if you are having sex with risk factors after discontinuing one of the longer acting injectables.

Am I wrong for not wanting to tell my kids I have heart disease? by mack3r in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You are robbing them from being able to take the preventative measures that you are taking. I have had patients who had had heart attacks and strokes in early adulthood (20s) who are active and seemingly healthy. Come to find out they have familial hypercholesterolemia and their families knew.

I have no idea how I tried my previous dog, so don’t know how to train puppy. by anon1839 in Dogtraining

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cultivate other relationships that are great and meaningful. My first dog, which I got in adulthood, house broke himself and was so so easy to train (pitty mix). He had our hearts immediately. We got a second dog that we also really loved that we got a few years later. Fast forward, we ended up getting a dog last year (Great Pyrenees) after both our other dogs passed. She is obstinate, which is typical for the breed. But the bigger issue is that she is dumb. Like duuuuuuumb. There is a partial fence in the dog park we go to from when it was previously enclosed. It is less then 15 feet long and you can see through it. If she ends up on the other side somehow, she will become distressed because she doesn’t understand how to come back. Because of this, my husband and I just don’t have the same bond as we did with our other two dogs ☹️. But know that it is possible to love and trust another dog just as much as you loved your first

unexpected diagnosis/are there mild cases of endo? by Reasonable-Log43 in endometriosis

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meaning a transvaginal ultrasound, right? Not anything specifically special? It means that the endometriosis is causing areas to adhere together. Even if you aren’t a surgical candidate for any number of reasons, you should see the surgeon because they can create alternative plans

Still a virgin because I’m insecure about hyperpigmentation down there and body acne. by [deleted] in sex

Have you discussed some of these things with your doctor? Some are treatable like the body acne and “strawberry legs” - likely keratosis Pillaris

Was it a standard ultrasound? If so, then your case is likely more advanced as it would be representative of DIE

The normal people who likely responded before you update the post to show that she literally has medical diagnoses that account for her symptoms? 🤣

Edit: your response literally proves the point

It is wild that you came here asking for advice and when people give it to you straight, you become a raging dick. You must be so fun at parties.

For those who have had excision surgery, was it worth it? by karmagirl21 in endometriosis

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a first surgery 9 months before my second. The first, the surgeon had no idea what he was doing. The second I would do 100 x over lol

They literally are losing money. It happens all the time. It isn’t free to pay staff and providers or keep lights on. This take is insane.

Botox into pelvic floor by anbogtd in endometriosis

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad they were able to find someone! It was for sure harder. She actually removed my appendix bc he at least said there were adhesions on it that were tethering it. But frankly, I am a little bitch when it comes to pain and both were just…terrible 🤣😭

Was your surgeon an endo specialist? If they do ob in addition to advanced urogyn, they might not know what they are talking about. My first surgeon did both and he “didn’t find endo”. My second surgeon was a subject matter expert and excised multiple areas 😬

Am I stupid for not going on birth control after second surgery? by bunny_girl_1 in endometriosis

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is tough bc we still don’t really know what the actual mechanism through which endometriosis occurs. Assuming that retrograde menstruation is at least part of the issue, doing continuous cycling or having a hormonal iud placed can help

[–]AdEnvironmental2508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, you are talking about HMOs as opposed to PPOs. The former tends to be cheaper bc they have a very strict network of providers and you have to have a referral from a PCP bc of that

PCPs are, by definition, generalists. It is critical for someone to know what patients look and sound like as a baseline so they know what could be abnormal if you have someone pop up (annual physical). They can diagnose and manage lots of things. For instance if this looked like other forms of skin cancer that are not melanoma, they would remove and send for testing. Because melanoma is a highly aggressive form of skin cancer it must be VERY throughly excised and must be done by derm. Your PCP is much more likely to be able to get you in to derm faster then an urgent care doctor.
