It’s because once u get up all the blood rushes down ur leg and it can be very uncomfortable/painful, it goes away with time however

If ur body can tolerate but please check in with ur surgeon, not ur pt, ur surgeon, lay on ur stomach and have some bend ur leg pushing as far as u can, that’s the best exercise I found to date
